A shady real estate guy who made billions in revenue would not run for president unless he believed he had immunity from prosecution. he made a deal, and is serving his role.
<<Longtime Trump associate Roger Stone on Thursday reportedly begged the president to pardon him through a message sent to InfoWars far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones as the jury deliberated his fate.
Stone, 68, a former Trump 2016 campaign adviser and longtime Republican operative, reportedly sent a message to Jones asking to be pardoned while being tried in federal court in Washington D.C. over seven charges of lying to Congress about his relationship with WikiLeaks.
"Roger Stone's message is this," Jones said during Thursday's broadcast of Infowars' The Alex Jones Show, "He expected to be convicted. He said, 'Only a miracle can save me now,' that was exact words to me last night and this morning."
"And he said to me, 'Alex, barring a miracle, I appeal to God and I appeal to your listeners for prayer, and I appeal to the president to pardon me because to do so would be an action that would show these corrupt courts that they're not going to get away with persecuting people for their free speech or for the crime of getting the president elected,'" Jones continued, adding that Stone asserted, "If we don't do that, it will embolden their criminal activity.">>
theres a great podcast by jon ronson, who suck into the bohemian grove with alex in 2000, detailing and illuminating the connections between alex jones, roger stone, and donald trump, and gets into just how close alex and infowars really is to the president. the podcast draws some pretty troubling conclusions. on his show alex frequently claims that the president is listening. apparently it went far enough that john kelley actually had to ban presidential aides from bringing trump infowars articles.
occasionally i listen to jones' show just for the sheer insanity of it, and its pretty scary how talking points he brings up in the show start popping up the following week in tuker carlson type conservative talking points, and by the time two weeks have passed its morphed into a seemingly mainstream conservative talking point. i dont know how much of the alt right/trumpist ideology and talking points come from alex, but i am pretty concerned its alot more than most of us would be comfortable believing. id be interested in hearing bryens take on alex. most of what i hear coming from him in impeachment related threads is virtually identical to rants i hear on alex's show a few days prior.
As long as there's lawyers willing to defend scum like fump he'll never see the inside of a prison cell, or his family. He may keel over during one of his trials, but that's about the best we can hope for. You keep forgetting, this is Amerika bitchez, where truth and justice no longer have a say.
True, but those folks were accused of child sex trafficking and running the worlds biggest drug cartel. That's on a whole other level than your run of the mill tax evasion, money laundering, etc.
Epstein got off pretty easy the first time too. As for El Chapo, how many times did he escape prison in Mexico? And when he was in prison, the dude basically ran the place as his personal fiefdom complete with catered parties, hookers, and Mariachi bands.
>occasionally i listen to jones' show just for the sheer insanity of it, and its pretty scary how talking points he brings up in the show start popping up the following week in tuker carlson type conservative talking points, and by the time two weeks have passed its morphed into a seemingly mainstream conservative talking point.<
Epstein got his due. We'll see what happens with the rape charge against Weinstein.
How about regime changes or coups?
Saddam Hussein spent a few nights in custody before they hung him. So did the Romanovs (maybe their fortune wasn't in the billions in 1918 money value). Quadaffi never got a night in jail. Alberto Noriega is another one who got locked up.
For weeks the conventional wisdom has been that the House will impeach Donald Trump, but that the Senate's GOP majority will exonerate him.
But now that the top U.S. official in Ukraine has provided irrefutable evidence that Trump made aid for Ukraine contingent on helping Trump's re-election and a war hero and Ukraine expert has confirmed the whistleblower's account, convicting Trump in the Senate has become a real possibility.
Let me say that again. Impeaching, convicting, and removing Trump from office is within reach. Finally!
Recent polling shows that a full 50% of Americans believe that Trump should be impeached and removed from office. And the numbers keep ticking upward. Republicans know that the walls are closing in on Trump. The #2 ranking Republican has admitted that things look very bad for Trump, Senator Mitt Romney has continued to pull away from the party line, and some Republican senators are literally running away from questions about Trump's criminality.
MoveOn has hired teams of organizers in four key states to work with local activists to turn the pressure way up on the Republican senators most likely to break ranks with Trump. This is exactly what we need to win because how Republicans in the Senate respond will depend on how much pressure they feel from their constituents. But organizers in just four states isn't enough, and these organizers will need considerable and consistent resources to really make a powerful initial splash--and then keep on working for months to come.
Will you join me and chip in to MoveOn to help impeach, convict, and remove Donald Trump from office?
