Derek Trucks is a great player for sure, but he always sounds the same to me, doing the same things the same way. To me at least he always get a bit samey.
Steel Pulse threw down in cave junction a couple weeks ago. REALLY strong show. Glad I went, they sounded just as good as any record with a lot of stage presence and crowd interaction.
Man that was kind of tough watching them play don’t let go to weir’s speed. I swear David hinds told him to pick it up when he walked over and spoke to bob about halfway thru. Bob steals the trombone players solo about a minute later. Ouch.
Well thats one way to get the crowd to pack up and get the fuck out of here.
Whoever assigned them the headliner spot to close the festival needs to have their heads examined. They'd fit better as an opening slot to ease you into the days more serious jammers.

At least Steelers looked good, and Holly Bowling is just amazing. Love it when she plays piano keys and strings at same time, im prob very naive but, ive never seen anyone do that before....
