No sufficient evidence of collusion with Russians to interfere with the general election
Special Counsel punts to AG issue of obstruction of justice saying the evidence could go both ways.
AG says based on its review of the Special Counsel's evidence on obstruction, not enough evidence to go forth with a prosecution - irrespective of the policy against indictments against a sitting president.
Sorry folks, Trump winning.
Dems in Congress could push forward with its own investigation, but that will go nowhere considering the Senate is still GOP controlled. Folks hoping for Trump and Co. going to jail will now have to rely on the Southern District of New York.
I also :) note that the letter says does not appear to state that there are no sealed indictments, it says that the SCO did not obtain any.....perhaps "other offices" have some?
By any calculation President Trump, his son, and his long time CFO could be looking at jail time if the will to prosecute exists at SDNY or the NY State Attorney General’s office, who — unlike a federal prosecutor — is not bound by the DOJ position on indictability of a sitting president.
if the will to prosecute exists at SDNY or the NY State Attorney General’s office,
There's several examples listed, here's the first;
<<“The Russian government.” The letter quotes a sentence from Mueller’s report. In that sentence, Mueller says his investigation didn’t prove that members of the Trump campaign “conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.” The sentence specifies Russia’s government. It says nothing about coordination with other Russians. Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, gave campaign polling data to Konstantin Kilimnik, a Russian associate who has been linked to Russian intelligence. Manafort, Donald Trump Jr., and Jared Kushner met secretly in Trump Tower with Natalia Veselnitskaya, a Kremlin-connected lawyer. But neither Kilimnik nor Veselnitskaya is part of the Russian government. They seem to be excluded from Barr’s analysis.>>

Trump has a bigger concern with the Southern District of New York.
He will be under criminal investigation for the rest of his Presidency.
