I tried listening earlier but am having technical difficulties.  I like the musicians, how is it for you?

I missed most of the first set, but the playings been fine in the 2nd set...   the stream was a little choppy for a while there but settled down

I watched a redo of Set 1 on facebook.

Strong set, with Molo driving the band.  Lebo sounded swell.

Listening now to the Second Set.

Good choice of musicians, a lot of nice songs. Thanks for the list. Oh, I think Johnny D is there, maybe he'll check in here.

Been a lot of Phil streams on FB this last month, quite the treat to enjoy his playing so frequently.  I even paid the $10 for the 2nd day w/ Scofield official stream, so glad I did!  Happy for everyone lucky enough to attend live!

This was fun.  Thx 4 the set list.   The webcast with Sco was way strong.  At least IMHO.

There is nothing like being at the shoe live & in 3D.

Who would have thunk that one day we would b entertained with streams & webcasts galore.

Since I broke my leg 5 years ago ( this thursday), seems like streaming at home has become an addiction  (standing in a crowd, or even on stage, just isn't as much fun anymore, though there's nothing like live music!!!)

>Been a lot of Phil streams on FB>

Careful man

That's how they snare ya

One of the best and tightest "local" bands Phil puts together. Nothing extraneous. Everybody knows the material.

You guys are lucky. Thanks for the link. Great way to start the day.

If Phil is going to travel to play GD music this should be the band that he brings.

Right now I have 2 words stuck in my head:

Mo Lo

nice when he uses good players, no?

Any non-FB sources (blocked here)?

During and after last night's show I've have 2 words stuck in my head:

PHIL LESH!!!!!

The man continues to be an absolutely brilliant musician.

He amazes me every damn time I see him play, which luckily is often.

It was also great seeing so many good faces last night. LOTS of classic zoners in the house!

Overall it was a very good Tuesday night at the clubhouse.

BTW Turtle, Phil plays with good players all the time.

Often

not all the time

opinionated / judgmental  one or not

but, correct phil is always very good and more often than not excellent

and at times yes, amazing (I keep connecting to his trumpet playing origin- most unique)

long live the heathen Mustang

Lance, I agree with you on all accounts!

I'm still without words to describe last night.  So good to see great friends in the best surroundings I could ever hope for.  I felt that I had a smile burning my cheeks for the entire night.

Seeing Phil plant a kiss on Molo's cheek was a good way to end it.

That's a beautiful thing.

What, not on his head?

Sounds like a good time.  Second set looks low on jammy material, did they stretch out between songs?

Molo is much taller than Phil.

The second set is a good example of how a set list doesn't tell the tale. It went about 1:40, with The Eleven>New Speedway Boogie really going out there. The show ended at 12:30 and they had to cut a long one off the set after Days Between.

"Molo is much taller than Phil."

Ah, I was assuming Molo was sitting on his throne.

Many thanks, this is the first gig I've heard about at TXR in a while that appears to have captured some of the old magic.

The first night Phil & Friends show with Scofield and Metzger had more old magic than a witches convention and that was two weeks ago.

Jaws were littered on the floor after that gig.
