South Carolina WTF

Forums:

Flanked by lawmakers, law enforcement officials and doctors in white lab coats, S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson called marijuana “the most dangerous drug”

While standing in the center of the Statehouse lobby, Wilson rattled off slang describing the high from marijuana.

“They use words like stoned, high, wasted, baked, fried, cooked, chonged, cheeched, dope-faced, blazed, blitzed, blunted, blasted, danked, stupid, wrecked — and that’s only half the words they use,” Wilson said. “Are these consistent with something that describes a medicine?”

Well, at least there is still one market left for all this Oregon herb that is just sitting around in tubs.

Given South Carolina's history throughout the ages, isn't saying "WTF" kind of like the Meathead asking "How can you say that Arch?!?" for the umpteenth time?

There's a story out there saying those "doctors" actually had clipboards, but were taken away at the last minute for being a bit "too much".

The guy kind of has a point. I mean, you don’t hear people saying, “dude, I got torqued of my prescribed dose of Mucinex.”

No, you didn’t take your medicine in the morning to give creative focus while you cleaned the house. You wake and baked.

Do you think the people who say they are chonged, don't get along with the people who say they are cheeched?

That man is an embarrassment to freedom.

I bet he's drunk by now or well on his way.

These are the same people that elected Lindsey Graham, over and over. Not a big surprise. Notice the lack of diversity in the picture also.

I'd also bet that at least 1/3 of those goobers have a secret stash at home.

I’d bet that 75% of them are addicted to benzos.

Wasn't the woman that Woody Allan assaults a little to old for him?

The politician doth protest too much. This man reminds me of the closeted gay preachers extolling the evils of homosexuality.

Meanwhile he's probably making bank off some illegal pot smuggling operation. Not that there's anything wrong with that...except in cases like this.

1 of 6 children who tried marijuana become a marijuana addict............

They used to play this every Friday afternoon on KFOG (Bay area Dead-friendy radio station) to start the weekend. Back when people still smoked joints.

On March 31, 2016, KFOG took all of its DJs off the air and began promoting an "evolution" to take place on April 20. On that day, at 6 a.m., KFOG relaunched its AAA format under the new slogan "Music Matters," and shifted its playlist to focus on songs from the 1990s to the present day. The first song under the "Music Matters" branding was "Times Like These" by Foo Fighters.

Former New York City rock DJ Bryan Schock was hired as Operations Manager/Program Director for KFOG and classic rock sister station 107.7 KSAN. Most of the KFOG airstaff, including morning host Renee Richardson, midday host Annalisa, afternoon host Bill Webster, night host Dred Scott, and weekend host Rosalie Howarth, were let go from the station.[7][8][9] By 2018, the station had gradually transitioned to a younger alternative rock format.

I remember my conservative republican dad, who was a KFOG listener, complaining about how they played "smoke two joints" every friday because they were, as he stated, "assholes".

unfortunately, people still smoke joints(joints are one of the most popular ways to smoke flower), but KFOG is no longer dead friendly.

what a cruel joke. straight up on 4/20, one of the last dead associated bay area radio traditions was officially neutered. at that point they played tons of pop and adult contemporary anyway, but there was still something subtly "bay area" about it. not anymore.

Yeah KFOG is sadly owned by Cumulus now. Their management makes the bosses in Glengarry Glen Ross looks like kindergartener teachers. Horrible place.

pre internet we found out about upcoming hippie shows in the Bay area by reading ads and Selvin's column in the Pink Section (the Datebook section in the SF Chronicle Sunday newspaper, which was actually printed on pink paper) and by listening to KFOG (who hosted D. Gan's first radio show in early 85). And by calling the GD hotline.
