Championship Sunday

Forums:

Should be fun. Couple great matchups.

Kiddy corps vs ageless wonders in both..Goff vs Breese, and Mahomes vs Brady.

#1 seeds 15-1 since 95...(minus few years #1 didnt even make game etc)

Who ya got?

And , most importantly, ...what's on menu??

I like Saints (its gonna be LOUD) , and rooting for chiefs, but, by no means, betting against Pats.

Chili, mashed potatoes, wings and tenders, and clams casino....

Have a great Sunday, all

Hoping for good games - definitely has the potential. What a great day for watching some good football!

Geaux Saints.

Go saints because F LA

Go Chiefs because F the pats

No shits given.

But everyone have fun.

Kansas City jazz and Kansas City style BBQ are both awful. Fuck them.

#6ringsfortommy

Tommy? lol

lil’ Tommy Brady?

I'm with ya'll.  Saints / Chiefs.

Side tracked, how did the Saints get 6? Miss extra point?

Brees can read the defense and change the play mid call second to none.

Jazz..opening drive fg, then interception on rams first drive...fg for  Saints after a three and out in the red zone

Thx

Set up for a great second half

Overtime,  great game. Bad non-call by refs.

Way too many flags during season, and first few weeks of playoffs, and NOW youre gonna "let them play??" ...just bad officiating all year....

Zeurline can hit from 60

Shit. Saints had some bad officiating, Rams played a better game.

Great kick. Rams win.

PUNCHED Rams To The Superbowl.

sorry Saints

pus pus pus- mebbe next year

good game

That kick woulda been good from 70!

Wow...

Lets go Chiefs!

That kick woulda been good from 70!  <<<

Absolutely ! yes

Hashtagtommy intercepted.

Brady schooling the phenom.

As is Belechek...

That last side arm pass was sick..im not a big Mahomes fan at all, but he s been impressive vs this onslaught of differant looks and blitzes etc...maybe not stat wise, but , he s hanging in there...

Possibly the slowest most boring game known to man.

^ obviously didnt watch 4 th quarter...lol

Damn Patrobots.....

Greatness is Greatness, and it usually prevails.

And what will be one of the lasting storylines of this game..... Andy Reid "can't win the big one".

One of the most idiotic labels that can be stuck on a professional competitor.

And one of the most common.

Because sports fans.

So today the two best coaching staffs won. The Super Bowl should be very interesting, with yet another title shot for the GOAT.

Or GOATS???

Good games and OTs in both.  Wild. So this will be the Pats' eleventh Super Bowl?

If Brady doesn't win he will hold the record for the most Super Bowl loses

Hpfly he ll sandwich all other rings with two vs Rams...And retire!! Lol...let the rest of the NFL have a chance, Tommy....

Great frickin game

Great games!

I cant think of two NFL fan-bases less-deserving of a Super Bowl than these two though.

I guess Go Rams? Barf

The Rams don't have a real fan base, but it's definitely growing quickly because of McVay, and because LA loves a winner. But really, what region doesn't love a winner in any sport?

The Patriots have a true fan base, one that of a certain age suffered greatly but mostly one that's fat and fully sated, but still, the Patriots have been a true dynasty for a very long time now with the undisputed greatest quarterback of all time and quite possibly the greatest coach of all time, and that time continues, so...

Good for those New Englanders.

And let's face it, what else to those clucks have, except good opinions on snow blowers?

I'll be rooting fore the Pats because I root for true greatness (and fuck the Lambs) but my only real hope for the Super Bowl is that somehow the damned referees stay the fuck OUT OF IT!!!

They’ve got the Red Sox also, unfortunately.

But I hear you Lance, I DO respect the Pats and this historic era of theirs but really, enough already. Enough five years ago, actually.

One of the best Conference Championship double headers I can remember. Really fun games this year.

Wow...did the Saints get screwed...watching it over and over on every replay last night...holy crap, it is unfreakinbelievable that in todays NFL - any  (of 2 at least )penalty  wasnt called...mind boggling

Patriots will blow Rams out...34-19

Notice how they never show the pats pregame ritual

Dancing around the fire after sacrificing a goat

Haha, No, but, they did show the head referee slap Tommy boy on the ass just as Pats huddled up to run first play of game....

Kinda strange, no?

Tony Romo is absolutely insufferable.

In the refs defense (which is tough to do), the overriding modus operandi for defensive players and backs in particular, is to hold/grab/snag/hand-check on every single passing play. The refs could call holding and pass interference 35 times a game if they really wanted to. This creates an environment, at least in my eyes, where their calls become somewhat random and obvious penalties are often missed or ignored near the end of the game.

>>>>Tony Romo is absolutely insufferable

Tony has grown on me, I like watching games he calls now. He gets too excited sometimes for me but he has stopped stepping on Nance all the time and he obviously knows what’s going on.

He’s 100x better than his old pal Jason Witten.

I think Nance and Romo are calling the Super Bowl too.

romo is a fucking ass clown.

good god, shut that guy up.

ps. why is there even pass interference?

just get rid of it already. its completely arbitrary as there is contact on 100% of plays,

Great Conference Championship games, I'm sure they got big ratings and made a lot of money on ad buys in the 4th quarters of those games.  The league and tv execs are happy to have L.A. and Boston's large markets over New Orleans and K.C.

Heartbreakers for Saints and Chiefs fans.

>The Rams don't have a real fan base<

um, they do and the fans are stoked for their return.

i have many friends that have been long time rams fans....i'm very happy for them as their original team is now back where it belongs after the treachery of georgia.

its easy to overlook that souther california has sports fans as every shit hole state in the country comes to take a vacation and to see their team play in the sun. OR move here and stick their pats stickers all over their cars.

i work by where the rams practice and its absolutely nuts.

i was never really a ram fan...other than erik dickerson...but happy for those that are.

Tony Romo On TV >>>>>>>>>>>> Rams “fans”

romo is a fucking ass clown.<<<<<<<

agreed-

he has ex- qb knowledge but that is all.

otherwise sounds like a giddy teenager at the mic.

I see that I'm not the only one who was annoyed by Romo. I got tired of him trying to predict every play.

he wasn’t trying to predict - he did predict. He called about a half a dozen big plays down the stretch.

Hey I hear Phil Simms might be calling the Super Bowl on the radio, maybe you guys should all listen to that it sounds like he’s more your style of announcer.

Do you guys hate Chris Collinsworth too?

I bet you’re all HUGE fans of the Monday Night Football crew lol

Alright!

When it comes to fishing I'm an amateur, but look ma', I caught a turtle!

Turtle my man, I do know the Rams have a large fan base in & around LA, hell there has always been a mooch of them here in the BA, and now with the great coach, lots of great players and a Super Bowl appearance (and a real chance at winning the damned thing) those who may have been ambivalent will fall in fully.

The real SoCal question is who is rooting for the Chargers now? Do they have an active fan base/will they be able to fill that giant place they'll move into? Were you still rooting for them Turtle?

After reading the comments here about Romo I thought, “maybe I’M wrong. Let’s see what other people are saying”. So I just googled Tony Romo and here’s what came up

Carry on, whiners.

Santa Ana

Theres one sumbitch who ain't gonna be enjoying life.
Whoever lined up offside in the neutral zone negating bradys 3rd interception. That play was the game.

Did you see bill belicheat when kc scored their late go ahead td ? Tom Landry he ain't.
Camera caught him mouthing, 'bullshit thats fucking bullshit' as he flings the clipboard behind him almost nailing an assistant then stomps his feet?  Classic el douche trumponian move.

i'm sure there are a few loyalists.

i don't know lance. i for one loathe the modern idea of 2 teams sharing a stadium...

chargers probably have one of the smallest fan bases in the nfl...

am i rooting for them? well not actively. I AM rooting for rivers/gates...so, i guess?

honestly this is the least i have ever cared about the nfl. its been tanking or going down hill for quite a long time, but honestly, most of the games are shitty or uninteresting.

i guess i feel that way about most sports these days. i am in the inactive phase of my sporting madden-jullian-osciallation, if you will...

“In any given situation there will always be more dumb people than smart people. We ain't many!”

The NFL turned into the USFL overnight.

wtf

I think the RAMS have female goalie...

That was directed at the refs and in response the egregious pick play, which was the reason the receiver was open by 15 yards and able to waltz into the end zone. It gets called 19 times out of 20 and one of the worst calls of the weekend.

Tough break for KC but when they were on about the thirty, just before they were on about the three, all I could think of was there was too much time.   Gotta take the ball out of Brady's hands to beat him.   Give him 1 minute and he's good.   Granted they were down and scoring was primary.

Right after the brady face slap roughing call

Yea the roughing the QB calls are the worst part about the new NFL.. Can't hit them high, can't hit them low, can't slam them, can't land with your full weight on them. Have to kinda wrestle them to the ground.

To laaaay me down, once more......

Carry on, whiners.<<<<<<<

whining schmining-- the guy  is a PUTZ

I think pick plays should be legal

The Saints don't sound too jazzed about the no-call:
