Cover bands really aren't my
Cover bands really aren't my thing, but if this was playing near me I'd probably go.
I saw the original tour on 11/02 at the Berkeley Greek. I don't know if it was just shtick and they did this every show, but at the show I saw the crowd roared so hard at the end of C&P they came back out, said they didn't have any other songs worked up and played Burning Down the House a second time. It was amazing and was just fine with all of us.
That show is one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen, and I only went because a friend had an extra ticket. To this day I curse myself for skipping on two or three other times I could have seen them.

I believe the '83 Stop Making
I believe the '83 Stop Making Sense tour was their final tour. That show at the Civic in December of '83 was definitely the last time they played in the BA (and I couldn't go, damn it) and that last LA show could well have been the last concert they ever performed together.
And while their albums were fading fast, if they had continued to play live shows I'm absolutely certain that they would have still been great.
I believe if they re-formed today their shows would be great.
Because they were great.

I remember how I missed the Forest Hills appearance on that tour. Friend of my parents ran a Mobile Generator company in NYC. He called the house and said "Hey I'm providing the Electricity for some rock band out at the Tennis stadium, maybe Stu wants to take a ride up."
Alas, Mom had dragged me to upstate NY to visit the Uncle.
Saw Generator dude a few weeks later. Quote, "You would have liked this outfit. All-access passes, they were puffing Thin Havana, their fridge had no Budweisers in there." Meaning, they had plenty Good Import Beers for the crew.
Darn those ones that got away @ŒÐ
Had already seen T. Heads in 1978 and Hell yeah I would have gotten there, had I known !
