Does anyone on Fox News remember that Russia currently has thousands of nukes* targeted on the good ol USA and has actively worked to bring about the end of the "American Empire" for at least the past 75 years?
Not to long ago, all the American children used to practice hiding under their desks to escape being annihilated by USSR / Russia bombs. And many Americans were killed by these guys during the Cold War.
Just because they are "northern, white and Christian" does not automatically make them our new and natural allies in some perceived battle against Islamic terrorists and darker skinned immigrants from the "south".

If you have any balls, just answer the question -- why assist a foreign power that is happy to see our country fail and has missiles pointed at us that could kill hundreds of thousands of your countrymen within 20 minutes?
