Best Cold Rain and Snow of All Time request

Forums:

I am in need of the best version of cold rain and Snow the grateful dead ever performed, please.

It must be inclusive of Jerry Garcia's epic 5 note introduction  he quickly  flares out.

For extra credit, what is your favorite space sequence into a song and its show, post drums that is...

This is due Monday by noon westcoast time

Peace be with you

Bluelight

Due next Monday not tomorrow

I  kinda fancy the Santa Fe 83 Cold Rain and Snow....for the extra credit phil's earthquake Space into, hmmm no not that one...THE OTHER ONE  Hartford 82 ...

Yes, those work perfectly, thanks.

I would like to use that entire 83 show, I really appreciate it.

If the show was outdoors, it's going to need extra treble high end, or something to get that bite in the first 5 notes.

Once the ambience is set with master reverb, there's no turning back.

Anyone at that new Mexico show, or in 82 I think they played in sante fe

Heady Version lists the following as the favs....however I tend to seek the ones down the list a bit as the top ones tend to trend to the more popular complete shows and less to the specific version of one song.

No Jerry Garcia, but these other versions are good.

Here is the English folk rock band Pentangle's version (with sitars and shit):

Here is Peter Rowan and Tony Rice's version:

Nice stuff. Don't get much Peter Rowan in these here parts.

It's a toss up between the 78 Dane county and the 83 sante fe

Even the 84 show, which is highly rated.

Which ever one comes out of the pocket and takes it down the field like Jerry rice.

In my best David Bromberg voice "whooosshh hit me so fast I was walking around the apartment like I didn't know what hit me...."

this is the one i was leaning towards.  what leads into it plays a large part in my choice, though.
