I think the use of the term "bitch" in the title of this thread is one of those "reclaiming" of traditionally pejorative terms (like LGBT people calling themselves "queer" and black people calling themselves the "n word").
Still, I once called my girlfriend's kittens "little bitches" affectionately and was quickly reminded that was an offensive term and that "little rascals" was the more appropriate term.
