So a massive Oak tree fell on our property and i've been slowly cutting it up with my new Husqvarna chainsaw. I'm not very experienced with chainsaws, and managed to get the blade stuck in a fairly thick branch.
Any experienced chainsaw users have any good advice for dislodging?
Thanks!

Sorry if that's not much help. I was a city kid.
Good luck.
I don't suppose you can put it in reverse like a drill.

Happens all the time. I use
Happens all the time. I use my other saw to cut the log near the 'stuck saw'. But if you only have one, there are a few things you can do. First remove the powerhead from the stuck bar & chain, just like you're taking off the chain for sharpening. Then you won't have that awkward weight there, and you can bring it in out of the rain.
Usually that happens when you're cutting a log on the ground from the top, and the weight of the tree pinches your bar in the cut. So you could use a bottle jack or floor jack under the tree, lift it up a few cm and that's enough to pull the bar / chain out. Also wedges hammered into the cut spread it apart, if you can fit them in there. The plastic ones are good, in that they won't damage the chain like the metal wedges.
If none of those techniques work for whatever reason, use a hand-saw and carefully cut away the wood that's pinching your chain. Or you could use a 'skil-saw' or demo-saw if you have enough extension cords. You just want to be careful about metal-to-metal contact (don't hit one blade with the other).
Anyway, careful not to bend the bar. Congrats on your new Husqvarna saw ! Take a couple fotos that show where in the tree the saw is stuck and post here. Then I could tell you the easiest way for your situation.

I did notice my thread title
I did notice my thread title could be misconstrued, as it's not grammatically correct. It should've read "Need Chainsaw advice. Stu?" As written, it would appear that i'm asking Stu if he needs chainsaw advice.
Sometimes punctuation matters.
Happy Sunday

Glad it worked out. I have not watched your uTube yet, but always remove the machine from Bar / Chain first.
It just makes everything more Safe and ergonomic.
Steel wedges can damage your chain and / or the teeth (cutters) on the chain.
Hence the popularity of plastic wedges.
Don't feel bad. I've had TWO saws stuck in a Dead tree that just would not cooperate.

Lots of good advice from
Lots of good advice from everyone. Actually none of it makes sense until you've been through it.
Mr. Lassen said that he is just learning the Chainsaw trip.
My best advice is to start from the Skinny end of the downed Tree, and work your way back toward the Thick parts.
This is what I've learned in 30-40 years of fooling with that sort of stuff.
Also it is easier to use Axes, Hatchets, Loppers and such hand-tools for the small branches and limbs, before firing up the Chainsaw.
Which Husqvarna saw did you wind up getting ? I hear that many like the 346 XP model, although my preference runs toward Stihl saws.

I bought a Husky Rancher 460 a couple of years ago. The thing is a beast.
I buy a premix of 50-1 from Amazon. Its ethanol-free and better for the machine.
A come-along and rigging straps also come in handy.
