Weir's 71st Wolf Bros recording

I'm guessing there will be a special guest tonight.

Even at 71 Bobby can't stay off the road.  Power to the him.

At the very least Jay Lanes getting work.

Weir & Lesh worked (mostly) with no lead guitar.

This Jack Straw sounds a bit empty.

.

Special guests appeared after the first night? no?

Checked out Ratdog.org, this AM. Someone wrote a review of the Wolf Brothers show the other night, and described it in glowing, and ecstatic terms,...like "primal" bobby or "Primal " dead, or something , something "primal"

Primal facial hair.

Don Was does have a unique style though.  He lies somewhere between a kango wearing b boy and Sammy Hagar.

We heard Sammy Hagar Weekend in the park two weeks ago.

Bob is very unique. Thanks for the archive link. Good homework and dinner making music.

It is amazing as well as depressing when one considers just how low the bar has fallen.

I miss Wally.

It's amazing as well as depressing when one considers just how often we expect the world to fit into our tiny & artificial personal perception of what it SHOULD be.

Bob Weir is 71. He's playing music with different groups and having fun.

He doesn't care about anybody's bar.

its crazy to listen to the recordings thus far. While I actually enjoy this lineup and Weirs guitar work, basically it sounds like we are paying to go listen to a buncha drunk old male fans try to sing louder then the band. Does everyone HAVE to sing along now?

I heard Big River from the first show and couldn’t force myself to listen to any more of the show. It was pretty rough.

totally. bad music is a thing tho. this falls under terrible-par for the course. same for tfb.
