WEST COAST HARVEST TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED
California Kind will hit the road in October for a tour through Northern California and Southern Oregon. The first show is on October 24th in Nevada City and the final show will be November 2nd in the Grate Room at Terrapin Crossroads. All shows listed under "Tour".

when are we going to get some
when are we going to get some shows from the david-less nelson quartet? its a huge bummer to not have david around, there isnt anybody that can really replace him, but the only replacement that could even approach doing him justice, IMO, would be to focus on the deep improvisations that are a very strong half of what made this band great, the other half being david and his songs. katie is talented and i dont have any complaints about her playing or singing, but i did notice that every time the band would start to veer into the territory that made me fall in love with DNB, she would start singing again.
Heavy improv, instrumental DNB songs, a few classic mookie and pete tunes and maybe a few new covers played by just barry, pete, mookie and molo would have serious potential IMO

well, not in this band...but
well, not in this band...but if david is going to continue to appear only sporadically, id like to think that eventually mookie will come out and join the other three for some shows in alternate configurations, whether they be just the remaining quartet or something else, whereas in the past these kinds of shows have just been barry, pete and john a la moonalice and mookie just flew out for DNB.
