I would just like to take this opportunity to say fuck baseball. The only major sport with a five game play off just so they can have meaningless games in April and September.

Yankees winning it all with Aaron Boone as their manager? Perhaps they can squeeze by the Red Sox but the odds of then beating the Astros and Dodgers in succession is very remote.

To be fair, I said that I have no confidence in the team as they've crushed the last 2 regular seasons and were 1 and done in the ALDS each year.  Add to that the fact that we really haven't turned over the roster much and our bullpen is shotty AF.  My gripes with the team are deep and documented- they stem back to when we lost Theo Epstein and subsequently John Lester.  Then we signed David Price who, for the most part, has been a total ass hat here.  

I've been rooting for the Sox since I was 10 years old and will be a Red Sox fan for the duration of my time.  I think being a Fan (of anything, really) is an amazing thing to be a part of and, with that, I'm entitled to my opinions and criticisms of "my" team(s).

But, yea... I def was/ and still am very critical of this team.  IF we get bounced again, I think this all falls on Dave Dombrowski ultimately.. not Cora.  Cora has been nice IMO.

With all that being said... Go Sox!  This is my favorite time of the year as a sports fan... I practically walk around all day with an erection between the MLB playoffs, NFL season in full swing and both the NHL and NBA gearing up.  What a time to be alive.  Hope you're well.

Yup...and i was wondering where the hell the knuckleballer , Steven Wright, was last night. Turns out he had an mri on knee. Sox will get results today, and could replace him if needed....the other guy up last night , but not used, was Erod. He could see alot of innings in this series.

Somebody besides johnson, poyner, or Hembree....i dont think first two match up well with power lineups, and Hembree is yet another Boston reliever who struggled w control this year....i think Erod may be key guy in pen now....the only K joe kelly is gonna see this postseason is the one following his 401 plan as he ponders his retirement....

I got a feeling this is going 5 games...so, we ll see Porcello and Eovaldi in NY, and Price again in a potential game 5..look for eovaldi to be available tonite for an inning.

Should be a relatively low scoring affair. Nail biter. I think this series is destined to go 5 but we will see. If the Yankees still had Girardi I'd be more worried but as previously mentioned, I think Boone is yes-man who is over his head. Sure there is a chance that the Yanks play really well and Boone doesn't get in the way. But maybe he does.

And yes, it would not surprise me if CC has a monster game. He has it in him.

Yanks couldn't hit heat all series. I figured it out late in game 2 and texted my friends that i hoped Cora and staff had figured it out as well. Sale pitched great in game 1, Kelly & Brasier in game two. When Cora announced he was moving up Nathan Eovaldi from game 4 start to game 3 i knew he had figured it out to. Tonight Barnes, Brasier, Sale & Kimbrel  we're great calls.

The real world series starts saturday in Boston with the two best teams (both 100+ wins)  in baseball sorry senior circuit.

Loved the 16-1 drubbing after Aaron Judge blasted "New York New York" on his boombox in the hallway by the Fenway locker rooms after game 2. Karma baby.

Loved how the Yankee fans had to pay exorbitant prices to watch game three and be tortured with nothing to cheer about the entire time after 7-1.

Same with game with four until the scary ninth. They got their hopes (and arrogance) up and then "pop" - like a paper cup in the bleachers, as Steve Goodman might say.

A friend bought me a Red Sox hat from Fenway and it's been fun to wear it at work and go back and forth with the Yankee fans. 

But my Mickey Mantle ornament will still be the first and last thing on my Christmas tree this year.

Stros are going to be tough to beat. Talent wise the Sox line up well but this Houston team has an IT factor. Should go 6 or 7.
