People sometimes (not sure about right now) have permission to shoot them dead when they set up camp by fish ladders at Columbia R. dams.
Of course, they were here first, and humans are probably responsible for a much greater proportion of salmon reduction through building the dams in the first place, as well as habitat destruction and ocean pollution. I'm against shooting them.

Those things are unabashed about fucking with crab traps. Some of the fishermen on the Columbia have a real beef with them.
