Hitched to this show before the Red Rocks run My ride were staying in a condo at the resort and we arrived the night before the show. That night i took a walk up onto the hill and saw some activity which turned out to be some heads with shovels burying kegs of beer. Found them during the show, kegs tapped and cold beer!
I remember local popo on horses surveilling the makeshift fences surrounding the concert area.Decades later I skied the Canyons resort from which Park West evolved.

oh my that was a grate day! i was still in my 20s, a home town afternoon show, a bertha opener and no homes on that back hillside yet. sigh
