I've always kicked this question around in my head.
Back in '04-'05 I was posting a lot on Toke City and the Ipecac Recordings forums/message boards and I don't think "social media" was really a term being used much at that point. Not sure where to drawn the line but it provided for connecting online with people and sharing bongs/music. Seems sort of social media-like to me but I leave the question to you.
