i love paying $50 for nelson band - they fucking earn it every time. im not lining the pockets of already monied music legends or paying for their kids free ride as a cheesy guitar hack, im supporting working musicians playing some of the best improvised rock on the planet. they should charge $60.
not to mention most/all of the bands crew are deadheads and real, actual nelson band fans. im pretty sure neither Irving Azoff or Pete Shapiro work with the david nelson band, but i can not confirm this since im not an uber innie, just a plain ol' custie shelling out $50 for a nelson ticket. :-D
would rather pay $50 for nelson than $100 for phish any day of the week.

Anyways, maybe it was just me ...but thought the individual to have pressed in front of people...each set and basically held a glowing cell phone in front of everyone....while trying to stand still in a crowd....of moving people....hope the video footage was killer.
added bonus for the show: The best meteor shower of the year is upon us: The Perseids peak this weekend, promising dazzling views for skywatchers in dark areas. The Perseid meteor shower is always popular, but this year's peak — which occurs on the nights of Aug. 11 to 12 and Aug. 12 to 13 — will be particularly spectacular this year because the moon will be a thin crescent and set early, leaving a dark canvas for the meteors' bright streaks and fireballs... expect about 60 to 70 meteors per hour at its peak!

It really does feel like family seeing these guys. Lots of good energy and hilarity all around. There were so many zoners in one room, it should have been illegal. What if there was a massive earthquake or something? Love all you crazy cats.
