Beautiful Golden there.

Nice ride.

Does Sammy Hagar need to pay a mortgage or something?

>>November 10 Capitol Theatre Port Chester, NY

I just got the pre-sale solicitation & selected the 11/11 Saturday night show as something to keep my-fingers-crossed on

Keep fuckin around and someone is going to get bit

If Kimock came along, I'd be in for the Ryman for sure.

He really brought something extra to Bobby's last show at the Ryman, and everybody noticed.

It looks like Kimock's whole calendar is clear for this tour, except for Nov. 9 and 10.

 bobby has terrible taste.

Plenty of people will have fun but seeing Bobby without a lead guitar or at least a piano accompaniment just isn't for me.  I've been trying for almost 30 years.

Remember when Ratdog had no lead guitarist . At least Dave Ellis played lead sax but still was pretty rough . Mark Karan was a much needed addition.

For Bobby fans, it all boils down to the nostalgia factor.

Jay Lane probably gearing up for the lead parts.

So is Sammy Hagar a “wolf brother”?

Nope.

Trio of Bobby, Jay Lane, and Don Was.

>Remember when Ratdog had no lead guitarist

I'll be bluntly honest.  If Phil hadn't stepped up when he did Bobby would have singled handedly driven this scene into the ground. It really was that bad.

Just checked the Keller Auditorium website and its $59 plus fees for the cheap seats.   Can't bring myself to do it.   If Sammy was there, yes, because he can play guitar.

The no lead guitar worked last year when he did it with Phil. Don Was is no Phil.

Was and Lane? Jesus. Who the fuck wants to see that?

I liked Bob and Rob.

TOO- 1998 was just what the doctor ordered

>The no lead guitar worked last year when he did it with Phil. Don Was is no Phil.

Nor are Jay Lane or Robin Sylvester

Ditto Beyonce, Frank Gifford and Ed  Sheeran.

Wait, what?

"but seeing Bobby without a lead guitar or at least a piano accompaniment just isn't for me."

This. Every time I hear Bob without a lead guitar I flashback to how empty it would sound when Jerry had a malfunction and dropped out of the mix.

Between this and the Family Band I'm really glad that these guys are making it easy to stay home in my old age.

Pass.

Between this and the Family Band I'm really glad that these guys are making it easy to stay home in my old age>>>

Just left with hoping for a reprise of the duos tour from March, the shame is that Phil is only semi-retired, doing shows here and there, but the players in TFB just don't bring the heat.

Bob Weir and the Past Tense

Easy to Slip > Walk the Dinosaur > Hell in a Bucket

When I’m 64> I’m only Sleeping> Martha get my damn pills

I think this will be fun and hope they play a local Bay Area show

I just got the pre-code for the show I selected - CAP, 11/10.

The show is very cheap, & I'm not doing anything that month (concerts $ up- I passed on a few) & I am so down for this show.

I've only seen Weir twice since Jerry's passing. Once with Further and this past winter with Mr. Lesh.

I think he's great. Can't wait.

Sadly, the floor of The Cap is going to be one giant chat room. People going there 'just to be seen'. Kinda sucks.

Would rather see Bobby solo than with this line up

I'd rather see see Don Was than Bobby.

>>one giant chat room

isnt that the entire scene these days?

I secured a ticket.

I went to purchase single seat & there was nothing left but a noblemen's Throne at King's ransom.

Sent an email & it was worked out.

Really nice staff there..

The wolf looks emaciated.

Bob chooses to use California state flag for his new bands logo and heads east to make money.

While it is similar that is not the California State flag

The wolf looks emaciated.<<

One lean hound.

110 pounds of sin on a good day.

Is Kimock on board yet?

Thank God, this is in November...

The wolf and the wolf bros both look pretty non wolfy

Any info or opinion if Don Was & Friends at HSB includes Bobby?

KImock's got those 11-09 and 11-10 dates in Denver, but his calendar otherwise remains open for the entirety of the Bobby tour.

>>November 10 Capitol Theater Port Chester, NY

I have a ticket to this night and really need to budget myself up until then to make it to the show..

The Saturday Night Show from the Capitol Theater is being broadcast live via XM on the Grateful Dead Channel.

I am pretty sure the folks at Nugs are video streaming this as well.

XM is having guests come on the air for interviews as well, to fill up "Some Space".

Its actually a very big deal.

It will be complete anarchy & a ball of fun ~

Do we have any taper streams tonight?

Thanks for the link, GB.

Thanks Beans, giving it a listen.

Have tickets for one of the Beacon nights

The NFA > Hell in a bucket was horrendous.

Who's the horn?

Kenny Brooks on the horn...

"Its actually a very big deal. "

I guess that depends on how you define "big deal."

I'll be seeing Abigail Washburn and Wu Fei at Longwood Gardens.  Musically and aesthetically, that's a much bigger deal.

I certainly meant to say commercially a big deal.

Lots of wires, cables and cameras

Not ground breaking in the musical sense but artsy none the less

Have fun tonight Thom

I missed a show last night, had an up load at my library fail at 92 percent 10  hours of work  down the drain

Came outside to the most torrential rain storm of my life.....

"but seeing Bobby without a lead guitar or at least a piano accompaniment just isn't for me."

>>>>>I certainly meant to say commercially a big deal.

Yeah, that’s not true either.

What are you being sarcastic

The contractual singed agreement from an XM broadcast is significant enough amount of money to have the most prominent attorneys and concert promoter handle the legalities

Google that Timmy Hoover

This was not a bar, this us the most active and commercially privately owned concert and media center in the skirts of the most prominent city in the US

New York city

This dude

Is the big time

Concert sold out in 10 minuets at 70 bucks a clip

The last 50 seats, were executive seats and sold out at 800 dollars a piece

The msg 88 run for the band was much much larger, but it was non profit benfit, with no video work done by the band just a radio simulcast

>gathers -> spills

How about 'there are things you can replace and others you can not'.

By that I mean the money that was once in your pocket.

The msg 88 run for the band was much much larger<<<

Interesting. Can you tell me more?

>>>>>>The contractual singed agreement from an XM broadcast is significant enough amount of money to have the most prominent attorneys and concert promoter handle the legalities

I’m sure Siri’s XM is really paying Bobby huge money for this.  A very big deal commercially indeed.    lol there’s no way this thing has a commercial value of even half a million.

A live audio broadcast isn’t really a big deal.

Yes

Bobby made little to no money, but had real fun.

May have also been my anonymous donater. Plus he had to also pay for Warrens taxi from his new home up there.

I'd guess an XM simulcast could be pulled of by 1-2 additional people with laptop(s) and a very wide interweb portal.

I did not see one AM logo or person at the show

No free pens even..

Off the top of my head, these are shows that the grateful dead broadcast while booked in this region

That does not lnclude Jerry Garcia's extracurricular musical solo shows

but anyhoo, going to see Bobstar and Wolf Bros tomorrow night, backstage and all. should be fun.
