Growing girls 101

Forums:

Ok help. I'd like these 2 girls to survive. These were indoors and then gifted to me as he quit...I believe that they were 2mos old when given to me. I went away for 10 days, they were watered.

So, they are still in the cocoa sack bags. I placed them in like 5 gal containers, threw in a scoop of dirt and split a bag of work castings.

Something started eating them pretty much immediately after they went outside. They started to flower when I put them out. Pretty sure it's spider mites. +? .... anyways dude at local nursery sold me capt Jack's dead bug. I just did a second application.

What should I do and what should I give them including fertilizer?

Expert smoker. Novice grower.

Also it's not the best location but what I have. Prob 5 hrs direct sunlight a day.

Thanks

Also... should I pick all the fan leaves?

Nooob.

I did this for years, I suck at it. So many friends and acquaintances have mastered the craft.

That was supposed to be peak, we share.

Lol. They literally fell in my lap.

Top of soil moist. But should I still water everyday? It's in the high mid 80s

Start winding Tiger Bloom to them...probably do a couple doses of Grow Big too. And take any large yellowing fan leaves off.

NICE!!!!!

there's a folder for this NOOB! lol

fyi 5 hours will force it to flower you're screwed

scrawny looking thing

I Say Leave All Green Fan Leaves ON Till Mid September add Some Fish Emulsion to Water - No Over Water Prune When Needed - Shortening Of Days Are Coming yes

also i'd bail the Rack the Coolers Are On And Plant another Vegetable ? tomato ??or something there add planting mix all over !

ask neighbor ? can you trim back your banana por favor

Indoor plants often have 24 hr. light. Even if they only had 15, 12 is low enough to flower them. 5? Afraid you may be SOL.

Plants Compete With Other Plants ! Not A Cooler Rack..............

Turts,

Move them into the shower, just for laughs ~

No worries let it grow Mother Nature wil take care. You get what u get.. time will teach u as well

These are the kinds of questions and information that I hope will also show up in the stand-alone Cannabis folder so people will be able to find them when they have questions.

Best of luck, Turtle, you're doing a good thing trying to keeping them going and growing.

threw in a scoop of dirt <<< Bail That !

Make a Planter or Up to 10 Gal with Fresh Planting Soil Mix Some Perlite Fish Emulsion They Will Freaking GROW !

They were free and I've never had the liberty and space for anything since 93...It's fine that they're flowering.

Thanks, I know that's the best answer blaise!

I could use some advice on getting rid of Aphids. Someone at a local pub recommended spraying the plants with a mix of black tea and a teaspoon or two of dish soup in a spray bottle. Someone else suggested hosing them off or getting some lady bugs. Any other ideas? And what do the aphids end up doing?  I don’t see much damage from them yet.

Yes the DWS works fine, just as you said

>> And what do the aphids end up doing?

Eats the leaves and sucks the life out of the plant.

Weed is now so easily available and cheap that if you want to be radical you might as well grow kudzu.

1. Nutrients. Nitrogen based for growth. When flowering cut out nitrogen and raise P and K.

2. Insect control. Big holes, little holes, no holes but sucking the life out? Diatomaceous earth, spinosad, neem oil.

3. Are you sure it's female?

Aphids will multiply and suck the juices out of your plant. Soapy water or Neem oil works.

BTW Look up Jorge Cervantes on the Youtubes.

sound a like a mess. throw it away and start over.

boone those organic?

i have some fish fert for bloom i also gave it...

u talking to me pyramid ?

From my friend:

Clean w neem oil

Three days later do again w green clean

3 days later do again w monteray

Check ph on your water, should be 6.0 - 6.2

Change pot, soil, anything and everything it came in...(sounds like ya already did that)

mites and then some? spraying spinosad? yeah, start over man. you don’t wanna smoke that shit (especially spraying on flower).

I'm just letting it go....

word. she’s still praying despite the infestation, that’s good.

Sheet. Thanks though guys.

Lift it off the ground so that it gets better drainage.  Spray it down w/a mix of water/cayenne pepper/a few drops of dish soap.  While your spraying run your hands under the undersides of the leaves so they get nice and coated(that's were most bugs hang out).   The next day spray with clean water.  Repeat if necessary. Also scrape up and replace the first few inches of soil(another place bugs like to hang). Tranplanting when it's already flowering isn't the best idea when your working outdoors.

Go to a grow shop and ask for a bloom fert(not gonna mention names because chances are everyone will have a 'better' suggestions than mine) and a bloom enhancer.  Start at half strength.  If plant looks to respond positively bump it to 75% and work your way up.

That plant will get you a nice sack if you put a little bit of effort in.  Even a few ounces is better than no ounces.

And stay away from fish based if you have bug problems, especially w/a potted plant.

ty jonasp.

Turtle, they are mostly organic. The only thing holding that up is that I use Pro Mix BX, and that has trace amounts of chemical nutrients and wetting agent. The Fox Farm products that I use are organic. I start with Big Bloom and Grow Big until after the summer solstice. Then I switch from Big Bloom to Tiger Bloom and continue with the Grow Big for another month. Then I stop the Grow Big and use only the Tiger Bloom up until 2 weeks before I harvest.

Sorry T My Girl growing Bud skills Suck !

Turtle, are you still growing them?

Hello. Yes. I am letting them do what they're doing...I raised them up on saw horses to get more light...smells good...

I love Turtle threads.

Hope all is well with you and your girls.

Oh good, I'm glad to hear they're alive and well.

Hey Turts! Cannabis Folder material for sure.
