from Louisiana. Four nights in Estes Park home base, last week of August. Any cool bar reccomendations for the evenings. Been thirtyish years since I lived in Boulder for a couple years.
Not too far away -- Stop in pretty much any bar in Nederland or the Stage Stop in Rollinsville, CO -- usually something good to drink and chance of decent music
Wait - last week of August? --- you should hit up Nedfest 24 - 26 if you are around then... Hot Tuna with Kimock, Jorma acoustic, JGB, Vince Herman, some String Cheese guys, Anders Osborne, and more
Well gee, this might change everything. Let me check into this. Maybe i can drive up early and get my better half to fly up. I have more flexibility than she does.
It's a sweet little laid-back festival withing walking distance to the town's Main St. Mostly locals and regulars in attendance.
Don't know what you plan for accommodations, but they do offer tent car/camping on site (in the little park next to the fest) for those with tickets. Usually looks like a couple dozen groups do that --- not hundreds of people or anything. Local hotel rooms are usually booked but there are house rentals around. It's about an hour drive to Estes Park.
There are always late night shows that go to 1 or 2 at a local venue.
Oh - and it usually rains for an hour before the sun sets. It can get chilly on occasion, even though it's August..

Nedfest is awesome. I'm going
Nedfest is awesome. I'm going Saturday.
I think the Stagestop closed.
FYI Estes Park is really overcrowded these days. I'd recommend the other side of the park by Grand lake.
If not, just be prepared for a lot of tourists. It's a good place for family souvenir shopping.

I'll post a Ned thread
I'll post a Ned thread closer to the date. Perhaps a Zoner 3D meet up between sets at the mead tent ? -- I'd be happy to buy you folks a beverage.
