2018 has been brutal

Forums:

Tough year so far....Mom passed in January, my closest friend Kenny in February, I suffered a stroke in April, and Dad passed away Sunday morning. Things should start looking up soon? Dad was a great guy to all. A gifted tenor, he was always singing old classic opera tunes with Mom at the piano. I recorded him singing Ave Maria in latin a few years ago and it came out so good. We set up in an empty church and made several takes with mics at different spots. The final mix sounded so clear, like he was standing next to you in the room. I sat with my siblings the other night a played it over and over. It's the only recording he ever made. His health had been failing recently and he took a turn for the worse last week. He didnt suffer and passed in his sleep. He was a deeply religious man and I'm sure he is hanging with Pavarotti (his fav) and gearing up for the Angel Band summer tour. Love you Pops.

Phil -- Sounds like you've had one hell of a year.  Real sorry to hear about your pops and everything that you've dealt with.  Hopefully you are recovering well.

Peace

What a beautiful way to honor your father.

Peace to you Phaldo.

... this darkness got to give.

Jeez Phaldo, a rough year so far indeed. I can only hope for the best for you going forward for the rest of the year. Stay strong.

Phil....shit.   That's about as bad as they come.   Let us know if there something you could use to take you out of this gloom.   Solstice is almost here, maybe the flip side of the year will be the opposite.

Sorry for your loss.

Too many reminders for all us, lately , it seems. (Let alone the year you've had, my heart goes out to you)

Thoughts , positive vibes, and strength to you and your family, and loved ones.

Enjoy every day, zoners...each day is a gift.

Sending you big love, Phaldo -- may the dark days pass soon, and as Zang said, perhaps the solstice will bring new light.

You are good to see the beauty and treasure it.  I will take note, thank you for the reminder. XO

My condolences to you and your family, Phil.

Peace and strength to you Phaldo

Sorry for your losses Phil.

Hang in there, Phaldo. Lots of zoners sending vibes and love to you - myself included.

Dear Phaldo, what you outlined has indeed been brutal. The losses of loved ones alone could take a person down, but you've had more to deal with than that. I hope you are recovering from your stroke, healing, life improving.

It's so sweet to read that your dad was a great guy, and that he was a gifted tenor who loved to sing. Your recording of him is going to be something to listen to with joy throughout your life. It's truly great that he didn't suffer at the end of his life.

Sending much love, strength and healing to you. Peace.

To better days, Brother.

Phaldo,

total suckage, but you appear from far away to be dealing with it all as well and could be expected,

let the grief, sadness, and bittersweet memories ebb and flow

peace, and peace in time .....................
