Sign me up.  It's a shame no one plays Hec Ed Pavilion anymore.

5-19-74 has always been in my rotation. A very clear and EQ'ed board. Among other fav's the Black Throated Wind on this is top 10.

lots of first set repeats. also only one dark star?

still gonna be wicked nice sounding, and we got that fat playin' from 5/21. 5/14 is the best of may anyway, imo (which we already have).

guess they can't release 1973/6/10? watkins glenn 7/27&28? jersey city few days later...

don't you guys like already have all these sbd's?

i just download the official releases. but for the most part, yes-the sound quality is quite superior tho.

good friend of mine purchases all the releases, and imo the box sets are well done, everything included.

It's 74 pyramid, DS had long since retired as an every/other show. They had been rolling along with lots of songs for 2.5 years at that point and for sure there are many repeats.  Same as 73, 6/10 is one of my favorite all time shows, and 72....  Of course there were many killer playing and eyes jams along the way.

>don't you guys like already have all these sbd's?

Of course. I don't buy any or listen to any of these releases. I'm just going on memory of shows that I've heard countless times.

>>, yes-the sound quality is quite superior tho

That's an endorsement, sir.

These tapes were a long mess and took a thinking-hat-person to not get confused.

I am going to figure if I can afford to buy one right now. thx Thom

Just out of reach - oh well.

^yeah, totally worth the download.

It's a damn shame that 6-10-73 hasn't been officially released.

What an outstanding show. My wife was lucky to have been there. (Along with Watkins Glen and Roosevelt).

Just pay the Allmans and Merl's family and release it!

What other third set opened with It Takes A Lot To Laugh?

(The obvious answer is none).

Just in time for Father’s Day

gotta have that 45 minute Playin

I remember taping that and being amazed that it fit perfectly one one side of a Maxell 90, literally two seconds of blank tape left over.

and if I can recall it was a decent audience recording- not sbd.

certainly 6/10 will be a standalone at some point

well if the criteria was to find "Six shows better then last years 1977 box" they hit the jackpot...

I custied up.  Been a whiIle since I bought any GDM merch.

I'm a walk across campus away from Hec Ed Pavilion, so I figured what the hell.

A very cool box for the custies. Worth mentioning that the PNE 6/22/73 is one of the all time greats in terms of Phil Lesh performances! I won't buy this but love these shows. If anyone hasn't listened to the PNE and Edmundson 74 audience recordings, they are very much worth checking out. They put you right in the action

Spoken like a true Spurs fan.

COYS!

I first heard 6/22/73 back in 1977, I was back east visiting and met up with a friend who had picked it up from the local "guy who had all the tapes".  I remember walking across a corn field in Oxford, PA with the Playin' blaring from a boom box and falling in love with it right away.
