Show started...nugs is fine here

And def correct songname, Noodler...seems to be some traffic on street

Oh how I've missed that Granpa Tempo.

Very good mix on drum volume finally

Shakedown Street

Brown Eyed Women

Yours on from here Noodler or anyone...ill be bouncin in and out

It's possible to play down-tempo with swing and energy. Difficult, but good bands do it. This is just slooooooow and sluggish.

S / A / U / B / Tennessee Jed

I miss Jerry

On the utoob, if you go into settings / speed / 1.25 it peps up the tempo 25%.

Haha, hi Jamjuice.  I’m barely awake.

Shakedown was kind of a snoozer. I thought the rest was pretty good though.

Weir still a rock star.

I've been complaining about the slower tempos since 2009 ;)  but I must say there were some interesting new tweaks to old faves.   Last Time had some good moments...

Dead and Co Ambien Dance!  lol. I must be getting old, I used to do the Grateful Dead Noodle Dance...

Finally they have Mickey turned up

Missed most of set I.  Watching it on rewind on one screen; "Stay Tuned" on another.

I have some crappy work looming in front me tonight.  If I'm lucky, it'll take the person performing said crappy work all of Set II to finish.

Set 2

Scarlet Begonias

Good luck with your projects Bluesnote

Would Furthur had been better with jm in the band over jk? I say yes

Thx, Noodler.

thx for heads up! i think they sound good. I don't equate uptempo with intensity of jamming or whateva. They are def more cohesive after playing together a few tours. i expect them to be best mid tour. im going to a couple, but then im the nostalgic sort. and i love the gd catalog. ((old friends bopping together))

thanks for sharing!

I like how Jeff assembles this mess.

Slow growing, warts and all.

Best since Brent on the keys, and a great musical director.

That area between Mickey 's chin and bottom lip has a prominent frown wrinkle/fold.

I don't get why Mayer has that 'Fake F-Hole' decal on his guitar,  but he could use a big Grease-Paint  Groucho mustache to match.

Otiel and Jeff are shining

Yes

Cmon G Knights!

Oh well. I liked the drums and space.

That ended abruptly !

Curfew ,no encore , wait how much were tickets ?

Yes it did. A change in momentum.

>>>>Will be watching the Golden Knights go up 2-0 on the smaller screen at the same time

ouch. that loss must really hurt.

That same   yootoob chanel has a "King & Strings" show from a few days ago that sounded nice, Billy Strings,  Marcus King et al.

>>>Curfew ,no encore

Yeah.  What was up with that?  Curfew?

Looked like Bob had a change of plans out of Stella for the last song.

That Billy Strings cat is pretty good.

Can they even try to not play set lists right out of the 80's?

And I wonder if they're paying Mickey half of what they're paying everybody else, based on the effort he appears to be putting into it.  Billy looks bored but at least he's playing.

I caught the Bird Song and Scarlet.  It's not particularly bad, but it's not particularly good either.

"and a great musical director."

The fact that this band needs one says volumes.

My observation is same as other shows - it's like they're pacing themselves until 15-20 minutes before the drumz. Then it's back to the resting state.

Other obs:

I saw Micky yawning in the video stream.

Oteil brought his own happy place for his feet.

Mayer was wearing Jerry's sweats but couldn't fill his shoes.

Oteil and Jeff C are the only ones who made any bold music.

Bob's always gonna be Bob and I love him for it. He's still the keeper of the flame. It just doesn't burn as intensely.

>>Can they even try to not play set lists right out of the 80's?

The deadheads I know who like to see Dead & Co. are generally (not all, but generally) the folks who liked the big stadium shows in the late 80's and 90's - so playing a setlist that seems to be from that era makes sense.

>>Bob's always gonna be Bob and I love him for it. He's still the keeper of the flame. It just doesn't burn as intensely.

"My old Bobby you're moving much to slo-oo-oo--oo- ow". For me, Bob isn't even the Bob he was 10 years ago - and the Bobby I like is even farther back in time. At least I still have "tapes" to enjoy.

"The deadheads I know who like to see Dead & Co. are generally (not all, but generally) the folks who liked the big stadium shows in the late 80's and 90's"

One of my issues with this band; they're playing to a marketed audience.

I think Phil is the keeper of the flame unless this is just about DeadCo, then Bob is.  Having listened/watched many DeadCo shows with an open mind (and ear) I still can’t get into it.  Tried again last night hoping it was going to be “the one” (they were live streaming and tour opener so I thought they would try extra hard to make it happen) but it wasn't.  What I saw was uninspired and full of mistakes, thankfully Oteil and Jeff knew how to make lemonade.

One good thing about DeadCo is that it really is bringing in the next generation of kids to the Grateful Dead universe, I’m sure many will go on to discover the magic in more meaningful ways. It’s all good.

Seriously considered going to a Camden DeadCo this weekend.  Train fare is about $3.00 RT on the 'River Line'  and I could find a cheap ticket in the lot.

A few locals are going,  so I could catch a ride.  What fun to quaff a Beer on a beautiful June Day,  listening to the Colorful Balloons hissing in the Sun.
The joys of Camden lot scene !! SSSSsssss...

However,  it's supposed to rain a whole bunch all weekend.  Probably won't go w/  inclement Weather.

But there's always Couch Tour;
http://mixlr.com/terrapinsummercouch/

I own rain gear,  so I'll see...

Oh just go Disco Stu!

China, I like your words.... we agreed to go w/ old tour friends to the Autzen Stadium / Eugene DeadCo show and I'm dreading it. It will be my very first DeadCo concert... and our friends rarely go to shows anymore and I want them to have a good experience, so I'll bite my tongue during the show, LOL.

I really have no problem with that setlist at all.  I actually did listen / watch and found it un-thrilling,  not in the setlist but the performance.
Wonderful that the younger generation has the opportunity,  and the Vendors have a nice playground.

For me,  it would be more fun compared to Billy Joel or U2.

But I've got a zillion Tomatoes and Peppers to get in the ground;  the weather has been difficult this year,  and that's a serious consideration.

"What fun to quaff a Beer on a beautiful June Day,"

Expecting rain both days.......

Plant those tomatoes and peppers.

I’m pretty sure the Other One (tease) was actually Other One (mistake/oops).

Llollo - have fun with your friends at Eugene no matter what...and who knows, it may be “the one”!

Can they even try to not play set lists right out of the 80's>>>>

Some of their 2nd sets are borderline DSO, switch out one or two songs, and I see a list from a show I saw in the 80's or 90's...

WTF is with the huge crotch in John "The Wad" Mayer's pants?

Looks like Camden is getting a double bill this weekend, Dead Co. and the remains of Tropical Storm Alberto.

Tropical Storm Roberto

It cracks me up on a thread for a free stream of DeadCo all we have are a bunch of critics.

I enjoy DeadCo shows and am looking forward to when they hit The West Coast .

You're right. I'm glad it was free.

>>>>It cracks me up on a thread for a free stream of DeadCo all we have are a bunch of critics.

Welcome to Viva La Ben Fong-Torres!

I just went and listened to the Shakedown Street  opener from last night up on YouTube and it sounded like COMA speed. Holy shit. When Bob sang, “There’s nothing here that  could interest you” he was sure as hell right about that.

Still cant handle the "shake it down, shake it down, shake it down now"....just awful....that, and "music never, never, never, never, never, aaaaaarrrrggghhhhh....only time i want the music TO stop, is when Bob is singing those 2 tunes...

I never even popped back in after  first four tunes...sad commentary considering the generous free stream offer from nugs tv

Awful
