I was just wondering. I try to watch golf sometimes. Was more fun when tiger was doing good, IMO. The league was just about as boring as it could have been pre Tiger

It’s gonna be Tiger for sure and if it’s not Tiger it’s Bubba for sure. 

This is going to be the most anticipated Masters since???  I mean, when Jack won his last one, there was no lead up to it hyping the fact that Jack was back.  The tournaments where Tiger first got into contention on the weekend this year, the ratings were on par with a World Series game from the past couple years, and other major sporting events.  These were non major golf tournaments (I guess Arnie's is special, though, but still isn't a ratings giant in the sports world).  The point being, Tiger drives the ratings wheel like no other athlete, and this is going to be an off the charts build up of anticipation leading to Thursday, and Jack and Gary hitting the first shots, and then...here we go.  History in the making again.  It's gonna be GREAT.

It's Tuesday, and it feels like a Thursday watching the coverage on Golf Channel.  Tiger and Phil practiced together today.  Tiger eagled 13 and 15.  Freddie Couples apparently paid an "appearance fee" for playing along with them.  I guess Tiger and Phil kind of fleeced Freddie out there...lol. Tiger had probably the most relaxed press conference I have ever watched him have.  He looks and sounds ready.   I don't know when this many great golfers were playing as well as so many of the biggies of the new wave are playing right now, along with Tiger and Phil playing great...man, this has potential to be one of the great Masters tournaments ever.

It appears as if Tony Finau has been cleared to play.  That's crazy stuff.  Good for him.  It would have sucked to not to have been able to play in your first Masters because of a freak accident like that.

Tony Finau, who I mentioned yesterday practically broke his ankle after hitting an ace in the par 3, is tearing it up today. It was pretty iffy on him even playing. They must have shot him up good, he’s killing it. 

Jim Nance just said that Tiny Finau’s ankle bone had become completely dislocated, and he popped it back in.

The Masters. 

Wow if Speith is over the yips then this is game over. Doesn’t matter how well Charley Hoffman or anyone else is playing. 

The first rounds are still pretty much impossible for me to watch without a nap.

Every round is awesome.  Today was great.  I also agree on Speith...

Tiger barely missed many make-able putts.  He will have to putt better tomorrow to have a chance in the weekend. 

Spieth is awful today, I’m hearing rumors he is hung over.

Phil with a SEVEN at NINE!!! Ooof. Hitting a skinny tree on his second wasn’t optimal. 

Phil comes back with a nine iron from 160 out on tenth and almost hits the pin. It’s amazing he can even play considering he’s a lefty.

Hes playing with Marc Leishman, who is the great-nephew of comedienne Cloris Leishman, and Tommy Fleetwood who looks like he smokes a lot of weed. He’s on the beach at one, which looks like place he’s familiar with. Damn hippie. 

Wow Tiger with a bogey on one as everyone seems to be losing strokes today. Hao-Tong Li has been complaining about the set-up of the course today (what else is new) that dude needs to STFU. 

I’d be ok with letting Fred Couples use a golf cart now and then.

Tiger BUTCHERS his birdie putt on 3, a par 4 where he almost drove the green. Just heartbreaking. You can see the joy and desire to live completely drain from his face right before all of our eyes. Not sure if he’ll ever bounce back from this. 

Meanwhile, Matt Kuchar, my man, is tearing it up. Don’t sleep on Matt, who is my choice to win the tournament. 

If Tiger doesn’t card a birdie or better on this par-5 8th, he might as well just keep walking to his car, go pick up a skank, get all fucked up and call it a weekend. He’s really letting us down.

I was at the Memorial Tournament at Murifield Village  in Dublin, Oh one year a while back.  It was when Payne Stewart was still alive.  The Memorial Tournament is notorious for rain during the tourney, and that year was no exception.  We were out somewhere on the front 9 and it started raining, and they blew the horn to suspend play.  My friends and I went to head to the restroom, and when we got there, I eneded up with Payne Stewart on my left and Tom Kite on my right at the urinal stall.  Tom Kite asked Payne if they were going to hold their position.  Payne said "I'm not holdin' this one any longer than necessary".

I always back Patrick Reed and I’m not ashamed to say so. He looked pretty pissed after he flew the green at 12, which is another reason why you shouldn’t let your buddy touch your bag.

Tiger with two birdies on the back nine have him looking like the Tiger from 12 years ago. His threesome partner Leishman is on fire too.

Tiger and Phil make the cut, which is +5. Weir at +11 and Garcia, who blew up yesterday, didn’t make the cut.

Shubhankar Shwarma went 77 - 74 +7 and did not make the cut. 

Patrick Reed 69 - 66 and he is your leader at the Masters after the second round, a round in which we saw minus numbers being more of the exception than the rule. 

There is supposed to be some weather tomorrow in the Georgia area so maybe we will see even more scores slide into the black. 

Drive safely and we will see you right here again tomorrow. 

If it rains, they have that vacuum system under the greens that keep them nice and firm...but the fairways get softer, which means longer shots into nice, firm greens.  

Factor in some wind...could be anybody's game...although Reed looks pretty good.

Didn’t know much about Patrick Reed besides his Ryder Cup victory until I started reading about him last night. Turns out he’s a jerk and he doesn’t like anyone besides his wife and her family. Bummer.
