I'll ramble on a bit with my poor spelling and bad grammar. If it was not for the Philzone, I would have never met Adam. From the 1st time we met, we hit it off and became very good friends. We shared stories of old and made new stories, that i'll cherish and remember for the rest of my days. I met many zoner's because of Gitmo. He really did have a heart of gold, and woud help anyone and do anything for you.. He pulled me out and got me out to going to shows again and just doing things at a moments notice, I almost felt young again. He would pull in to the compound and say " Lets Go, You cant get into the show unless you go"..And we did many nights and days... And I do not regret one moment of it.. Wish i could do it again with him.. Coyotte
To the Mayor: always loved the video of Gitmo dancing on stage. Classic!!! You and others did a great tribute to him at ECZJam on the Hudson. Almost met him,but never did. I can tell he was something special, a brother to all. Sorry for your loss. As long as you remember him he will always be the there.
me and adam had many a wild trip to shows over the years. started in the mid 1970's and never ended. ya get a call and its him, wanna go to the show? where? virginia, sure. lets get tickets for peoples express. after that up to spac in ny. crazy nights. hartford, staying at the ymca lol. too too many adventures with him.......
this was about 1978-79 in my parents basement we would hang out in. adam on the left, perry, marilyns future husband on the right. perry died , then three months later adam left....

R.I.P. Señor Gitmo.
R.I.P. Señor Gitmo.
First time I met Adam, was when I also met Mr. Coyotte, Mr. BluestNote, Mr. RiggerDude, perhaps other Zoners.
It was at a Pumpkin Farm Jam with Levon Helm & Friends, somewhere in the Boonies of Upstate NY.
They had the "Pumpkin Cannon" in effect. It was a large Cannon which shot Pumpkins high into the sky.
So I was supposed to meet Mr. Gitmo there and arrange the truckload of Firewood, but there was no cel-phone signal at all.
