Hi all,
This came up in another thread (about the Terrapin Family Band shows at BBowl NY), but I thought it deserved its own thread.
Any updates? Did he just step away from playing music for a time? I've read rumors that having the new baby kept him home. Brian was such a big part of things related to the Family Band, TXR, etc...
I really like Brian & Grahame and the Family Band and other bands both have been involved with (Midnight North, American Jubilee, etc...)

He could do a lot of things. Like have a career and play shows here and there. AND, still be a Dad. Being a Dad can be a full-time job for sure, but it doesn't have to take up 24/7 every day.

Have you seen him play? His band was mediocre even when his dad sat in.
I'm sure he likes to play but it's not like it's some sort of loss to the music world that he's morning gigging.

as I recall, in the past Brian has worked a bit w/ RMFJ in booking bands appearing at the TXR bar

I like Grahame a lot, and
I like Grahame a lot, and Midnight North, but I like Brian's voice more. His mando playing was just okay, though. It is kind of weird that he just disappeared from Terrapin, but I could see Grandma Jill not wanting him leaving Levon at home. The weird party is when the baby is at TXR and Brian isn't.

As a parent, the simplest way to explain it is that New Parents never turn down an opportunity for free, caring childcare.

It took me a little while to realize that my Mother would always choose to see my kids over me. And now that I have teeny niece and nephew, my kids are old, stale news. We all had our seasons in the sun, though.

Regardless, I wish nothing but the best for the Lesh Family.
(Bonus points for them if Ezra is welcomed back to the free bar shows, though)

I also have seen Brian at Terrapin with Levon a few times. Brian in business attire. I wish he were still playing music also. I liked his mandolin playing and he sings well.
