For me personally, the incredible work he did on behalf of civil and human rights stands as something to look up to and admire.
This country would've been more of a war zone in that era if not for Dr. King preaching non-violence. His courageous leadership and inspiration words helped the country greatly.
I choose to honor him as a great figure in American history, one of the greatest in my lifetime, and will fly my flag today. I hope everyone enjoys the day the way they see fit.
