This week in the bar catch 4 free Dead of Winter shows featuring Phil Lesh and a rotating group of musicians including Stu Allen, Cass McCombs, Neal Casal, Adam MacDougall, Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz, Grahame Lesh, Ross James, Scott Guberman, Alex Koford and more!

Phil Lesh in the Terrapin Crossroads Bar on January 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th at 9pm.

Don’t miss these amazing free Dead of Winter shows, they have become a wonderful Terrapin Tradition.

Please note that each area (the bar, Family Room, side of stage, dining room) will have a different wrist band that will be accessible only by the appropriate wristband. Wrist bands will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

Thanks for the add'l info. Judit. 4 different wristbands? Good luck monitoring that.

They should recreate the laryngitis run from Jan 8-11, 1978

Possible conflict for some people is California Kind at Sweetwater tomorrow (1/9).

How tough is it to get to txr on public transportation from the city?  I am down here for the month and want to see Phil for one last time.  Any help is appreciated.  Thx zoners.

JR, Golden Gate Transit goes to San Rafael and it's maybe a 15-20 minute walk to TXR from the station. You could call a cab or whatever from there. However, I don't know how late the buses run back to the city.

The schedules are online.

JR - Uber is good for situations like that.  No need to worry about public transportation schedules or walk very far.

Is the show for tonight still going? What time is it over there?

Reports on these shows? May head up tonite. Rumor i heard is adam macdougal guests tonite...

what's the wristband situation?

I was wondering about how these shows are going, and also, did people go to California Kind?

We went to the Calkind show. Lightly attended with the usuals, <<family>>. Barry shredded an Eleven jam with just 5 strings!...

I went to TXR on Monday for the show with Stu. The show was excellent. The rain kept attendance down to what was comfortable for all.

The Band: Phil Lesh, Stu Allen, Ross James, Scott Guberman, Alex Koford

Set 1

Cold Rain & Snow

Alabama Getaway

Looks Like Rain

Jack-a-Roe

Loose Lucy

Set 2

Baba O'Riley>

Tomorrow Never Knows

Rubin & Cherise

Box of Rain

Dire Wolf

Just a little Light

Uncle John's Band

All the songs were jammed out nicely. I thought that the Rubin was particularly good, but all of set II was super tight and fun.

A very limited amount of wristbands are handed out starting at 4pm. You can pick up a band and leave.  All bands were gone by 7:30 last night and people were turned away. Tonight will probably be earlier. Some people happy others not so much.

The band: Phil Lesh, Neal Casal, Adam MacDougal, Grahame Lesh, Ross James

Set 1

Stagger Lee

Brown Eyed Women

Liberty

Bird Song>

Like a Rolling Stone

Shakedown Street

Winter

Tom Thumb Blues

Have You Ever Been To Spain

A very good show, well played and spacey. Neal's covers of the Stones "winter" and Three Dog Night's "Have You Ever Been in Spain" were both high points. The Bird Song was nicely jammed and flowed effortlessly into Like A Rollin Stone. A fun night at the club....

Thanks for taking the time to share updates from the shows - VERY appreciated.

Thanks for the report, Woz. Sounds like a good time. No drummer?

Peak, thanks for the wrist band info.

Alex Koford was the drummer.

Phil is still is very big deal. Sold out Radio City (3 shows) and 3 shows at the Cap. in minutes.

Phil could play solo and still sell out here in NY.

These shows up at his place this week are quite special.

That 1/10 lineup looks like it was a good one.

Has anyone been streaming these during the run?

That's "Never Been To Spain," from Hoyt Axton and famously covered by Three Dog Night.

>>> Night 3 of 4 https://youtu.be/vvzWDzcLrGY Alex Koford was the drummer.

Phil at 1:27:20 in Tom Thumb's Blues -- "How they blackmailed the so-called President into leaving his post"

I want to say thanks again for the reports and encourage others...I come here for theads like this... thankful it hasn't devolved and was inspired to donate to the Zone (even if a small amount) as a result.

Thanks for posting the link Zooey, that was fun to watch.
