(Passing this along, from a FB PM)
Hi Dare,
I would like to take a second at the end of the year to first say, Happy New Tear! -- and then follow that up with a personal invitation for you to attend our annual New Year’s Day Party.
Actually, I think New Year’s Day does not put it in the right light. I (for one) see New Year’s Eve as a kind of Mardi Gras for the un enlightened.
For some the day is well.. hang over day. Fair enough. To be honest, I never went out much on New Year’s Eve unless I was (or am) working as an MC or a stage hand. I saw it as “Ammeter Night” I am not typically the kind of “sit down listening” act that gets alot of New Year’s Eve bookings. Unless MAYBE as an MC.
New year’s DAY however... is a different story. It is a time we can come together recognize both an end and a beginning. Eat winter feasts of Black Eyed Peas and Collard Greensinvibe in the Holy ending and the Holy begining. Rince the Ashes of the old and plant seeds for the new. New Year’s Day. Please Join us.
I send you this as a noted comrad, and trust I will hear from you in any regard.
all the best for the new year..
Our Address is:
The House That Art Built 1095 E 33rd St Oakland CA 94610
