Vertigo

Forums:

About 10 years ago I had a bout that literally floored me. Since then I’ve been very easy to dizzy, but I deal.

Very, very early on Sunday morning I woke up with another bout of it, not as bad as before, but still shitty. I’ve been powering through, very uncomfortably, but I can’t XC ski or lift weights yet.

Any of you have any tricks and tips to beat it? It’s fucking annoying!

Not fun. My dad had a bout with it a few years back.

Bueno suerte, BK.

I get it once every 8 or 9 years or so - fucking awful.

Get Meclazine from your doctor- don't leave home without having a couple with you.

All you can do is lay down and close your eyes until it passes - try not to throw up.

Never had it - knock on wood. Are you familiar with this?

The Epley maneuver is a well-known and common fix for positional vertigo. Chiropractors, MD's and some PT's use it. It's non-invasive and works well most of the time. There are times when the cause is not the little crystals in the ear and I understand that it won't work then.

Brian, call the chiropractor you like.

I do the Epley and the Brandt maneuvers.

The doc called me in a scrip for Valium. It actually works better than meclizine. Plus, you sleep through the worst of it.

Overall, it’s quite an annoying thing.

my gf had this a couple months ago, caused by a yoga maneuver-shit was crazy, and i felt kinda helpless.

she was prescribed meclizine and it went away in about a week.

feel better man.

Oh you've been easy to dizzy for a while.
