Flying to Boston- WTF

Forums:

Flying out tomorrow night

Packed over the weekend

the temps are insane

how do you deal?!

Flying Jet Blue- saw one of their jets slid off the runway

hell no.

-1 temps don’t sound cozy!!

wish me luck

"...the temps are insane

Thermal underwear (long johns) + Down jacket + insulated gloves + warm hat is a good start if you work outdoors;  I like silk/cotton socks under Wool socks.
Have Fun in Boston !!

(At least the long johns & hat will take the edge off when you aren't indoors).

Hope I survive it- good god

not a fan of sliding off anything - lol

going to sight see there, then to Connecticut-

want to finally check out Bryac!

eat oysters and whatever you Easties do :)

then to Phish and Brooklyn - Brrrrr!

This is just a little cold snap for us and dressing in layers is the key!  Safe travels Kate and hope to see you on the 30th!

Safe travels, Ro.

Pints & drinks with food - Bell in hand tavern (near faneuil hall) or Warren tavern in Charlestown (near nothing)

Bova's bakery north end

Lunch - Mike's City Diner or Cutty's Sandwich

Kappy's Liquors

Say hi to old Stew Leonard in CT for me!

keep your feet, hands, and head warm...;)

a scarf is a must...you can wrap it around your neck, face, etc...the best thing i had when landscaping in this weather was " a neck hoodie"...kinda half scarf-half hoodie thing that you could pull up over face if needed, and it kept neck nice and warm...wear layers....nyc will be windy this wknd etc...

oh. and moscow mules may help , but can wreak havoc w footing....;)

what dates will you be in BRYAC area??

Minimize time spent outdoors when it gets to single digits.  Get those disposable hand warmer packets to put in your mittens. Hot chocolate.  Have a great time!

What's a bryac?

Heading out in a few minutes to - 6 degrees............That requires a little bit "more" than just layers!

Have a real good time. I didn't know Phish was playing a show in Brooklyn. Seems low-key..

cover skin and keep moving. I happen to like this kind of weather, the snow not so much. You know you're alive when the wind chill is -5

^ You just wrote that via John Candy's voice.

wrong. It was Walt "Clyde" Fraser's voice

All good advice!

not staying out in it seems key

so bring a vape! Lol

Will definitely look to meet up 12/30, Rob and Scott:)

Phish is at MSG, Bluelight... then I’m visiting in Brooklyn and going to Lettuce with John Scofield NYE @ Brooklyn Bowl-

lots of Zoner’s coming in to town - ready to ring in 2018!!

Ro, your heart's so warm you'll be heating the atmosphere. No problem.

ice phishing in NYC

Enjoy!

Just got back from Chicago, -1 degrees....yikes.  As we bundled up to leave, my sister-in-law said there is no bad weather, only bad clothing choices.

Glad to be back in CA, is all I can say.  Have an excellent trip Ro, ringing in the new year in grand style.

see ya at the Garden, Ro!

...or maybe the Renaissance beforehand again.  lol.

eat oysters and whatever you Easties do :)

Since you will already be in Brooklyn on New Years Day, may I suggest you do what us Easties do.

That made me laugh, Skifurthur! That seems completely insane- but would be fun to watch!!!

Sorry to be missing you this trip, MikePA! Had some fun times at the Fox recently and thought of you guys!!!

Hope all of you seeing DNB burn the joint up!

I want to hear highlights and wish David perfect health in 2018:)

73guy!

You are stylin! I have yet to get to Peter Lugers - maybe next trip-

17 in 17 is perfect - will look for ya 12/30

Friends have Waterwheel and will probably have a pretty good floor spot!

Boarding for Boston now... sweet dreams and a solid landing is all I ask!!!

Stay warm.

Tony, I have a friend who's been doing that Polar Bear plunge since the late '90's. He's a lifeguard & even after all these years, I'm still convinced he's out of his mind. I can't imagine what motivates a person to go into the ocean in single digit weather (if not even colder).

Hi Ro! Good to see you're still bouncing around for shows. I hope to catch you at a show again soon.

do the airlines control the weather now too?

the bastards

4 degrees out....wind chill 10-15 below, at moment...todays high predicted to be 12-15 degrees

Be careful out there today!!!
