RC: Lady GaGa Joanne Tour

Forums:

Signed! Bought tickets for the gf and myself in Feb. Show is tomorrow night at the same venue D&Co played on Sat. I had to buy something from GaGa's website to have a chance at presale Tix so I bought her CD, which never arrived! Anyway, we'll be sitting about 20 rows up in front of the small stage at the end of the floor. $250 a ticket. The venue is sold out and my gf bought her sister an $80 ticket from stubhub for Christmas. I thought about letting them sit together and taking the lesser ticket...but naw! From what I've read it's going to be a 2.5 hour show. That's a lotta GaGa.

Am I the only Little Monster here?

report back

Strangely (or coincidentally), I've been listening to a few Lady GaGa albums from the public library.

All I hear is Lady-O GaGa...

Have fun!

Went with my wife a few months ago. Had GA floor. Show was a lot of fun and she spends a lot of time going between stages and there are a total of four that go the length of the floor. My only complaint was her voice seemed low in the mix, which is not what you want to hear at a GaGa show.

I also really liked the jams during costume changes. Some of them got into some interesting Radio Head territory.

Sweet!

This is now a Lady 6a6a thread

Not a fan, except for her foray into jazz. A friend of mine has seen her multiple times and always raves about the show. She is extremely talented, no doubt about that.

We will see. Show is in 24 hrs!

a friend who treated me to the last three deadco shows saw GaGa last night and said it was a top ten concert experience.

you should have a good time.

Thought this was a Slacker thread.
He lives for this place. It’s all he’s got to post about, since he knows nothing of GD music or culture.

Very true, Skipper. Nothing worse than a wanna be deadhead

Glad the Skipper nickname migrated cross boards.

I would drop.  Are you gonna?

You're not the first to suggest it!

The rail riders are already lined up.

Who in the world is Skipper?

I got here way too early. About to have too much too fast.

took my wife to see her @ City Field this last go round...i'll say this - the show was ok for me ( wife LOVED it ). She is a talented singer / songwriter / dancer / performer and i most enjoyed her at the piano or sitting with her guitar - im not a fan of all that choreographed dancing and hype and as far as the show went i thought they could have done TONS more with the LED backdrop and i thought the IMAG cameras were mediocre - she did like 4 or 5 songs sitting at the piano, and we all know she can play and not once did they have a shot of her hands - they didn't have a camera angle to them from either a manned or robotic or even a fixed position. Ive worked on and have seen probably over 5K performances in my time and while hers was fine for the fans, for me, someone who's hyper critical of production and knows what the capabilities of a production are, it was just ok. I was not a super fan going in though i definitely gained a lot of respect for her as a performer and the show reaffirmed my suspicions that she is, at the heart, a singer / songwriter at her core, and a good one at that....

hope you enjoy, looking forward to your review

peace

We'itre sitting in front of the little stage with the piano.

Probably the best thing I've ever seen! The gf didn't like when I yelled for GaGa to show her boobs but I thought it was funny

not a huge "omg, i love her!" fan but i've been really into her song, "million reasons" lately..

glad you had fun!
