My better half is more concerned about the other people on the road, not my driving. She even gets freaked out when I drive down to my folks' place in Monterey area, if it's dark outside.
DNB played the Ace Cider Pub one NYE (maybe '04?). Then played Capar on New Years day. I remember that being one of the hardest drives in all my years...

Alas, I will be honoring my "rain check" for the missed 2017 Annual Road Trip with Mr. Kai and will be out in the middle of some desolate desert on NYE.
Come ring in the new year with 2 sets from the David Nelson Band and stay for a special late night set with Edge of the West featuring founding DNB and former NRPS member Bill Laymon

Daylight! Just called Howards in Occidental -- they are open! They said that if the party is 8 or more, call them to let them know so that they can prepare. Our Occidental hosts are at Strings & Sol this weekend, but I'll ask them when they return next week. What time are you thinking? Hopefully NOT 9AM! :)
Howard Stn.is good or not depending on hangover status. I'm kind of rooting for B cooking breakfast NYD, myself, nothing against zoners, B is just a great cook and Howard Stn is expensive and kind of hit or miss, plus hangover odds are really high NYD..

I think Lisa and I are the only two regular drivers that live out here. We are house sitting in Lake CO for NYE but I might stick around (or comeback to G'ville) to work that night.
