Let me preface by I'm lazy as f*ck..and know this ground has been covered multiple times..BUT...where's a good online site for poster frames? asking for a friend of course...
I'm not sure how they stack up for online stuff but I get all of my framing and recommend all my clients to get theirs done at https://njpictureframing.com/ . Their prices are at least 50% less than most places in NJ. They do superlative work, can get stuff done on a tight schedule and are a pleasure to work with. My clients love them, especially the prices. Tell them Tony the Springsteen photographer sent you.
They do museum archival quality if requested. Personally I've done a number of posters and photographs with numerous style frames. I won't work with anyone else.
llollo- I have been looking for something like that too. Id use it with a poster in an archival mylar sleeve. I could use something similar. Cheaper I'd imagine. Still have to figure out light protection,
I know this is going to get beat up pretty bad, but over the past 5 years or so I've just gone to the closest Michael's as soon as possible after or during a run and place the poster inside it for the ride back. I live 2.5 hours from the closest one and I've come to the conclusion that I'm a casual poster collector at best ... and rarely buy one unless it's really speaks to me. Would rather apply the $$ to attend another show coming up around the next corner. The total price of posters adds up quickly if you include the cost of a frame, let alone custom framing. So, normally $20 - $50 @ Michaels is sufficient for my "low brows" stance on this. Another factor is that I do allow myself to get roped into automatically buying just about all Food Conscious Alliance posters ... mostly for SCI and other "jam band" shows in CO they happen to participate in ... so the Michael's route helps on this front too, in so far as being able to spread the wealth (even though "mom & pop" might not be on the receiving end).
Those hangers above would be great for 1/4 the cost. How do they get off charging so much for 4 sticks and some twine? I might make my own. I like the idea.

First let me say, bravo for supporting Food Conscious Alliance.
Second, it is rare for me to spend $50 on a custom frame, double mat item. Just got to poke around. If I spend over $50 it is because of a special frame wood like cherry.
I used www.americanframe.com. It has been years, but they were always about 1/3 the cost of frame stores. They have the UV protecting plexiglass and archival backing. I have one poster that is pretty big, and they wouldn’t send the plexi, so I had to pick it up locally.
The large size prolly means it was one of the Wolfgang's reprints which were often full size. 3rd printing on glossy stock. Only 500 printed. Perfect for display and you dont have to worry about the preservation as much.
I am at the point where i want to frame them for posterity but it does add up. I'll look into the cost saving tips here.
Mark D - Let me know when I can place my order -- I ordered just 2 sizes as a test and to see the hardware up close... but don't have time to do this project... still much cheaper than custom framing, though.
Mine are just in frames I got at Target for like $10-$15 or less. Then I buy a piece of whatever color paper to go under/around it, if there's space for that in the frame.
Is this so wrong? It's not like they were in any kind of good condition going into the frames, at least not the older ones. I only started framing stuff in like, the late 90's.
A good friend got into a poster-collecting binge some years back. Then, he bought all the gear to frame at home... mat-cutting device, metal frame mitre joint device, glass-cutter, you name it.
He probably spent 2 grand on all that stuff plus the glass and mattes (sp. ?) but now he's quite skilled at framing up weird Rock posters.

I have one from the Jerry Garcia Band at CW Post College 12/6/77, that less then 10 copies were printed to sell at the Student Union there.
It's frail & can not be shipped. There is a store a mile away from me that I guess that will get that frame work. It will be 40 years old in a week.

Ordered several David Singer FW posters from Wolfgang's last week.
This one was a second printing for only $20 -- always wanted it --BUT when it arrived it was 3 times original size ...WTF?
I ran over to Wal Mart and grabbed one of those full size poster frames - almost perfect.
