They're baaaack (Residents content)

Forums:

Despite rumors a couple years ago they were gonna scale back touring efforts following the conclusion of the shadowland project, the residents r back on the road with a new album, look, line up and a slew of dates.

They're all over Europe right now and just announced a bunch of North America dates for the spring.

I saw Hope Sandoval at the winery in Sonoma right before the whole area was ravaged by fires and am all about going back for these legendary freaks.

there's some weird, creepy, zodiac type energy in dem hills.

Oh man, the Chapel will be a great venue for those guys.

I wonder if they'll put seats down for those?

Their shows aren't what they used to be, but iIn these late days I'm happy to see them at all.

I enjoyed that last shadowland show at the regency, granted I was front row and had never seen them before but I think they've (he's?) aged relatively gracefully.

I do agree with that, and maybe I'm not giving them/him their due.

I've just seen them a lot of times over many years, which give me those damn preconceived notions when I see them now.

I should stop that.

No question that I'll be at one if not both of those SF shows, and I'll do my best to empty my brain before I go in.

Just a little effort is all that takes.

GO RESIDENTS!!!

Yeah, I can't even fathom the residents shows you've seen.

all on the home turf of the Bay Area too, fuckin insane.

those chapel shows r gonna b special.

they don't seem to do 2 night stands often.

Cool! They're playing Urban Lounge here. Thanks for the heads up!!

Small venues, should be great shows.

Did these guys ever reveal their identities or are they still unidentified?  I haven't kept track of them since the late 70's when I lived in SF.

It's been fairly well established who the majority of them were/are.

Many of them reveal themselves in the theory of obscurity documentary, but the truth isn't really important, it's the obscurity that really matters maaan.

see yall bitchez at the chapel holla holla SO LIT FAM fire emoji fire emoji fire emoji

I'll be at the final show of the tour in Dallas. The Kessler is small, think Independent size for SF peeps. Looking forward to it

Sounds like a review from DeadCo parking lot  laugh

I'd appreciate it if u guys would refrain from mentioning dead co in my residents thread.

thanks in advance!
