Has Phil every played with Everyone Orchestra? Interested in attending, though Grahame and Ross could've easily been replaced by other guitarists.

^Yes that sounds better to my head & ears!
There was a very interesting lineup (to me) at TXR awhile back, which included the TAB women, Lebo, Mike Sugar, Trevor Garod (sp?), a British jazz/funk guitarist who plays in the Bay Area (Charlie something?) - they seemed more versatile than what I imagine what the future

I saw what was probably the very first Everyone Orchestra at the Crystal Ballroom and it had Fishman, Kimock, Nershi and others backed by the then popular world/trance band out of SF called Hamsa Lila.

It's an interesting idea, but the guy "conducting" has distracted/annoyed me the couple of times I've seen this "group"".
But anything that has Phil in it gets my interest, so we'll see how the calendar shakes out.

I have known Matt Butler
I have known Matt Butler (Creator and Conductor of the Everyone Orchestra) since his days as a drummer with a jamband called Jambay!
I've even played a few gigs with him and he was at one time, a drummer for Hot Buttered Rum String Band.
I've seen EO a bunch of times, including way back in the day at 12 Galaxies in SF with Kimock, Peanut Daniels and several other Bay Area Jammers.
Back at the 2016 Oregon Country Fair I caught a great set with Pevar, Hartswick, Kimock and the shit-hot slap bassist from Dragon Smoke among others.
Butler gets the band improvising by suggesting a key, a groove and then pulling musicians in the band into the maelstrom as would any conductor.
He also involves the audience via oversized cue cards that suggest actions, reactions and group improvisations.
It's a very fun experience to be involved with.
I'll be there on 12/2 celebrating my Fitty 3rd Bday!
