My Coconut Bliss Oil Re-congealed

Forums:

So basically for 3 hours I Slow Cooked 44grams of decarbed flower into 9 cups of coconut oil (making sure it didn’t go over 200 degrees F.

After it cooled it sorta re-constituted

What did I do wrong? Any guesses

I'm curious if something is wrong or if at ambient temperature this is to be expected. The coconut oil I have left from the evaporated alcohol tincture is solid when the room is cool, liquid when it is warm(ed).

Any clues as to what I did wrong? I've never seen this before,,

Never seen that before either.  Was it strained well?   I use oil and never had that problem.  Judit is right.  Under 78 degrees the coconut oil will harden back up, but never seen the specs.  Warm it up and see if it mixes back. If it does, just keep it warm enough not to congeal. Harder to do now that the weather is cooling off. Also, 3 hrs at 200 degrees should be sufficient to decarb. No reason to decarb before.

We make an cannabis salve using coconut oil among other ingredients. After it is strained and is cooling, first to room temp and then in fridge, it's important to stir it well and often to keep the oil from separating from the other ingredients.
