Known Cannabis Success Stories

Forums:

If you know folks first hand, not just folks you heard about, that have beaten cancer or other diseases using Cannabis Oil, then share their story here.

I have a very close friend that was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He was immediately put on chemo.  A couple weeks later he started cannabis oil, and cleaned up his diet. Cut out most all sugar and ate lots of organic vegetables. After one month on chemo, he was having such bad reactions that they had to stop. They did a scan and told him to go home, come back in a month and they would do another scan and go from there. One month later after doing the Cannabis oil and eating smart, he went back in for the scan.  The tumor was not completely gone, but almost. They actually said no reason to put him back on chemo, and that he should continue doing what he had been doing.

Now, three yrs later and he has been cancer free ever since.

great story.

Cancer-free is good!

yes

Great news Mark!!!!!!!

Awesome news about your friend!  How is he doing nowadays?

Happy to share we signed my mom up for mmj yesterday.  She's ready to try some alternative medicine.  The place was busy in part to new laws being passed in FL this past week.  I wasn't necessarily impressed with some of the staff at the clinic we went to but she's on the right track.

The dispensaries are full of bad info from unqualified people.  I was just in FL and glad to see that things are changing in that fucked up state.

Everyone that has experience with the plant needs to step up and help the cause.  I work with a bunch of patients and it's always a constant fight.  Their pharma lap dog Dr's have completely failed them yet it's always 'but my Dr said!'

To answer the question my success stories have always been derailed by people that 'know better than me'.  By the time the sick person comes back it's far too late and then it's a matter of comfort and not survival.

He is still doing great, 4winds.   Be careful with your mother that she does not take too much too soon.  Once a person has a bad reaction(usually high anxiety triggered by too much THC) it will stay with them, maybe forever. Be careful, especially with edibles.

I have run across the same problem several times, Jonas.  We are fighting an uphill battle against the powers that be.  Several different folks that I approached to help, said "No thanks, I have my firm confidence in western medicine".  They all came back too late after "western medicine" had failed them, and they are all gone.  Trying to help people can be one of the most gut wrenching of good intentions. All you can do is help those that are so inclined and try and change the minds of the others. Someday(after big pharma figures out how to control the market) this will be standard protocol.  Until then, all we can do is try.

We'll keep up the good fight, knowing that we are pissing against the wind.  I'll most likely be a bitter old man when in the end the knowledge that many of us cultivated, went to prison for, lost everything for will basically handed over to a billion dollar industry that has no ones best interest in mind.

Good to hear, Mark!

Definitely, we're looking for something to help with her appetite and nausea.  It is a real challenge to get her to eat enough.  She's not interested in something that will get her super high.

If your mom can tolerate a small amount of candy, maybe try the 1:1 or 2:1 cbd/thc gummies. I'm not sure what's available in FL, other than their shitty 10% cap on thc, but in IL, gummies start at 10mg a piece and they are super easy to cut in half for a smaller dose. Cbd cuts the peak off of the thc high for a mellower, more pleasant experience, but the small amount of thc might help stimulate her appetite. It's a lot of trial and error, but hopefully you can find something that works for her. Straight cbd makes me anxious while it makes others fall asleep or simply eases some pain. I am a huge fan of the 1:1 RSO, but even in small doses it could get a new patient quite high. I hope you find something that works for her.
