THANK YOU for being brave and speaking out against this group of people who have collectively ruined everyone else’s lives just so they themselves can all benefit. 

Hopefully this post will get the ball rolling and eventually lead to the extermination of the Baby Boomers.

Yep. Now that we have the blame game figured out. How do we fix it? Is it too late to return the land to the original owners? Would they even want it back? Maybe a really good apology and a big check would help?

1) exterminate

2) re-distribute the stuff they stole

3) everyone is happy and world peace breaks out 

4) profit 

The 1960s produced the 1970s which, in turn, produced the 1980s, and so on....strap it on!

Why blame an entire generation instead of the richest 1% fuckers? The richest 1% in the US now have 70% + of our country's overall wealth!  

The richest 1% only had around 35% - 40% of overall US wealth in 1970. 

Until we all learn that profit is the disease that is killing us we are doomed. We have poisened and stripped  the land, melted the ice caps, dumped tons of toxic and radioactive waste into our oceans and fresh water supplies, all in the name of the almighty  profit.

I guarantee that, in 20 years, the Millennials will be saying that Gen X fucked it all up.

Kind of a broad brush there, but I'm willing to admit my generation made mistakes.
As for the fate of the planet, I'm pretty sure many of us learned in our youth and did quite a bit to raise awareness with our elders (the "greatest" generation) about the affects of global industrial pollution and the over use of natural resources. Still do.
As for what has happened to education (or the lack thereof and its present day expense) and American economic woes, I would have to say poor decisions by our government in the 80s led to most of the trouble. There may have been many boomers involved, but I have my own ideas how things deteriorated, and believe both issues can be attributed historically to the Reagan administration. Not everyone thought he was a godsend and knew he was simply a shill for what is now commonly known as the 1% and the military industrial complex. Especially those of us in California, who already suffered under his stewardship when he was governor here. Yes, many boomers-turned-yuppies supported disastrous social policies or at least became complacent and are to blame for trading their 60s ideals for a misguided sense of security. Not all of us, though. Some of us are still trying to do the right things and have always thought about future generations.
Now, tell us what more we can do for you. This boomer, for one, is still willing to help fix things.

There are no baby boomers in my nuclear family (5 total siblings plus parents), we missed out by a few years. Just realized that a few months ago and am pretty proud of the fact. Probably relatively rare for a family that size, too
