dezone2.jpgthe mighty jack...

dezone2.jpga long time since his flying "v" days..

I was at both that Capitol and Convention Hall shows--still among my favorite--maybe Alexander's in Brownsmills, NJ in 79 or Irvine Auditorium in 78 still my favs acoustics. The Phase Shifter period is my favorite of Jorma's acoustic sounds.  Always wanted to hear him take on Sunrise Dance With The Devil on acoustic and even Surphase Tension cranked through that phase shifter--twas not meant to be

i saw jorma many a time with his ovation and phase shifter show. i still have a cassette of him playing solo at my fathers place in long island.  i believe it was around 1979. i probably have a few more solo jorma shows with that set up too.

I saw Jorma solo at My Father's Place in Roslyn at least 20 times. Never further then 10 feet from his MXR90 Phase Shifter.

Belmont Park- 7/15/1979 was about as big a a show Jorma played solo, ever.

Hammerheads in East Islip, another epic small show in April of 1980.  Spit in Levittown in 1981 was intimate and crazy as well

WLIR gave away Hundreds of free tickets to see Jorma and Vital Parts at Fireman's Memorial Park in Hempstead 7/28/1981.

Great stuff.

i was at all of the above mentioned shows lol  belmont park, jorma, pink hair and pink matching sox. great show, shocked the shit out of us though due to his new appearence hehe

i still have the free ticket stub for the firemans show.

Nice shot of Jack

Surfdead, glad to read that you're recovering. I hope you're well enough to go to the show.
