Paul Simon “Graceland” At Newport Folk Festival

Forums:

Paul Simon came out of retirement to play a 4-song set at Newport Folk Festival during a tribute to his music yesterday.  Watch the assembled group's version of Graceland below, featuring some sweet fills from Jerry Douglas on dobro:

Some AMAZING videos. Thank you, HD!

And Joni Mitchell tonite. Cool for those who attend. These geriatrics coming out and doing the unannounced nostalgia act to sell the "experience" package to the attendees is not really my bag.

Looking forward to Newp Jazz, but man, I cannot remember a Newport Folk lineup that has really gotten me over the hump to go. And even this year's lineup is really diverse.

Sadly it must be me getting older, but I am totally with OG Zoner Jklowan's assessment more than ever... it's a bougie baby stroller runway show... Paul Simon, lol...

American Tune, wow that was beautiful !!!

Yes, RRG. Rhiannon is such a force and a goddess. Lots of great clips on the net. Great contributor to Ken Burns' series on country music. Knows her history and traditional music.
