That's pretty cool Mike. Baseball was always my favorite sport and was really great back in that era. We're starting to lose the Hall of Famers of my youth. Seaver, Brock, Gibson, now Ford. Thinking that Mays and Aaron may now be the oldest and many like Koufax are in early to mid 80's. Sad. "Oh, oh what I want to know, where does the time go." RIP Whitey.
Sad news. My Dad knew Whitey through business and the first baseball game I ever went to was WITH Whitey Ford. He had recently retired so was free to give us the grand tour of the old Yankee Stadium. Included a stop by broadcast booth, locker room, including a stark naked Joe Pepitone, and seats right on the dugout. Cemented me as a Yankee fan. Met him a number of times afterwards through the years and he was truly a nice guy and class act. RIP.
