There is a thriving free jazz/experimental music scene in the Bay Area these days, and starting in about a half-hour (4:00pm PST) a series of live performances from some very "outside" musicians & groups is starting.
I don't think anyone will be whistling these tunes later, but this will be something different than what's been online lately. I think the Phillip Greenlief, Fred Frith set should really be good, and everything will be sure to be strange.
The link is a facebook link, but I think most if not all the performers will also be on a youtube broadcast.
