My letter to Senator Tills

Forums:

Senator Tillis,

After watching the House of Representatives hearings and Senate trial, I fully believe it is apparent that the case has been adequately made for you to vote in favor of subpoenaing relevant witness testimony. It will be duly noted with your constituents, which way you vote, in the upcoming Senate Elections in November.

As a registered Independent for the past 30 years, your vote will be the tipping point in my decision to continue or not, having you represent me and the State of North Carolina in the upcoming 117th Congressional Class. The American people have the right to hear all relevant witness evidence associated with congressionally approved monies, provided by the taxpayers, to support foreign governments in exchange for an investigation into a political opponent.

It is also fair to note that your salary of $174,000.00, paid by your constituents, is over 3 times the North Carolina average wage of $51,758*. Your victory in 2014 over the incumbent was by 35,608 votes out of 2,915,281 or 1.5% of the total votes in our state. Not a wide margin by any means. As your employer, we the people, have the right to hear all the facts from relevant witnesses and will hold you accountable in the next election for your compliance or not to adequately respect your Constitutional Oath to "do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws".

As a first term Senator up for re election, you should understand that when other pertinent information becomes public, which is happening everyday, your vote will be cemented in the history of our country. As a person that spent 6 months working among the heroes of 9/11 at Ground Zero, I will quote, " We Will Never Forget".

Thank you for your time and I will look forward to your ethical decision to accurately represent the majority of the people of this great nation and vote in favor of subpoenaing witness testimony.

Sincerely,
Merriweather Girl (real name redacted)
North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District

Good work, Merri!

I have a feeling that I don't need to write to my California senators...

Hey jlp!

Hi Phreaks!

Yea, I'm pissed.

Miss you all and actually came to post a funny pic but can't figure it out after sooooo long.

Hope all is going well with everyone and will try to keep better in touch. Life is totally crazy with my moms hip surgery last week and after 4 winters in Co, I'm spending this one, on the right coast, taking one for the team. Ugh.

Love with no exceptions

Merri

*whip* *spank* (((hugs))

You got my digits jlp... ;)

Not gonna take it anymore !

Way to take action and speak out, Merri. Good on ya!

regardless of whether he votes yes or no to witnesses, he should be voted out anyway.

look at his record. he's a hate filled establishment republican.

^ is there any other kind ?

i know plenty of very solid libertarian types that are great people and genuinely accepting. and there are lots of folks out there like my dad who vote republican/neocon because they see it as the best way of maintaining/growing their lifestyle or savings. this country needs 4 parties - the dominant populist left a la bernie sanders and populist right a la ross perot or ron paul, trailed behind by the burning vestiges of what used to be the GOP and DNC.
