“...Last night was even more special because I finally got to play my new custom 6 string Modulus ankh bass made by Joe Perman. This bass has been 3 years in the making and sounds even better than I could have possibly imagined. Joe really outdid himself this time! I wanted it made in the shape of an ankh cross as a tribute to the spirit and culture of ancient Egypt. I chose the colors as a tribute to Sun Ra who said that the colors of his flag are purple and black. I’m still getting used to it but we can enjoy growing into it together this summer!”
