Technically, that's not a "bar application" (that would be a substantially longer form).  Instead, its a registration card signed once one is admitted to the bar and includes a space to list your ethnicity for purposes of tracking diversity.

Don't think it will make much of a difference because her credibility is already toast over the same issue.   For many voters, authenticity is the most important characteristic of a candidate (e.g. George W Bush) and going around claiming to be an Indian in official bar and law school diversity surveys when you clearly are not throws that out the window. 

Well, I'm certainly hoping that someone can at least find something more scandalous.

BTW: I need to come clean here: I've been known to check the "Other" box regarding my race.  Just wanted to warn as many people as possible before it hits the headlines.

I had a client whose family had migrated from Iowa to Rhodesia, where he was born.   He said he would always check African-American on surveys even though he was white as the virgin snow.

Not a terrible thought.   I like the idea of a candidate donating a large percentage of the money they raise.   Instead of ads, they'll get plenty of marketing with all the press of their donations to education, hospitals, and the poor that really need it.

If she knew anything about the Cherokee she would have picked a different tribe to cling to, she may indeed have Cherokee ancestry but with her having blondish hair and blue eyes(not brown) she had no chance whatsoever of them accepting her.

She won't win the democratic nomination, don't worry.

I asked a Cherokee friend about the whole situation with Warren and he explained that many tribal members are pretty much white, including the tribal president who is only a small fraction Indian by blood (albeit much more than Warren).  He explained that it all comes down to whether your ancestors signed the final Dawes Act allotment rolls back in 1890s.   He also said that many Cherokee since then have gone out of their way to become white.

Warren was never going to get the 2020 nomination in the first place. I like her, generally speaking, but what she did was dumb.

Trump is not going to win in 2020. His approval ratings are stuck at 40% and he is just going to get further bad news and negative publicity that he can't control for all of 2019. 40%+ independent voters who voted for him are very unhappy with him
