Yes, I thought they really
Yes, I thought they really surpassed themselves in season 3, and really delved into the characters' backstories and motives. Sure, you have to suspend belief sometimes, but it's perhaps the most thorough and dark tale in Marveldom (or DC). The action scenes are brutal and excellently filmed, and you never really knew which way the plot was going to go. 9.5/10

Dabreeze you said that way better than I could. I have often tried to explain to my 3 kids that its not all about the action. Its about character development and bringing the present to the forefront by getting insight from the past. My two youngest boys 18 and 22 have not really figured it out. My eldest son in the last few years has.
I should have mentioned in the thread title that this did not contain spoilers. Maybe we would have had more participation. I am now on episode eleven.

Oh yeah. I told my 14 yo that it was the shit. It has such good character and story development. And the characters are great. Take Batman and make him a poor Catholic in Hell's Kitchen. Take Lex Luthor and make him a huge fat man with a heart (sometimes). I would love to get into exact scenes, but I'll wait until spoilers can be turned off.

Yeah, that's unbelievable
Yeah, that's unbelievable about the 11-minute one-take fight scene. As someone who has worked as an extra in films, it takes sometimes hours to set up and film 1 minute or less of footage - usually multiple takes from different angles - then it's edited down to seconds in the final cut (or discarded altogether); so the choreography in this series, for the stunt people, is absolutely mind-boggling. Kudos to them.

Loving Season 3 SO much. I just finished Episode 3 a few nights ago and am definitely looking forward to the now classic hallway fight scene in Episode 4. From what I read, they used multiple stunt doubles for DD in the scene, as any one person would be exhausted after about a minute of this action. Definitely the best Marvel Netflix show, but I am bummed that Luke Cage and Iron Fist got canceled. Though cheesy, I enjoyed both of those shows and thought the second season of both was really powerful and set up some really interesting possibilities. Excited that I have the rest of the season to look forward to.

Definitely the best Marvel Netflix show, but I am bummed that Luke Cage and Iron Fist got canceled. Though cheesy, I enjoyed both of those shows and thought the second season of both was really powerful and set up some really interesting possibilities. Season 1 of Iron fist was not bad but was nothing to write home about. I stopped watching the latest season after the third episode and predicted it was on its last leg. Luke cage on the other hand only got better and the latest season was exceptional. Thought the last 3 episodes were great and that was going to cement production for another season. Am bummed

Huh. Most people, myself included, considered Iron Fist Season 1 to be pretty weak and the second one better, but to each his own, though. Luke Cage definitely ended in a huge way, totally bummed it's gone. At least Dare Devil and Jessica Jones are still around. Some speculate that Disney is just pulling these shows to revive them later on their own streaming service. I certainly hope so! :)
