My sweetie and I watched a stalled lightning storm (fantastic) fizzle out while cruising the veranda this evening. Northern zoners sitting outside came to my mind.

Here's a link for the Kp index, or when to actually look up at the sky.  7.5 will usually produce the Northern Lights (and Southern L's) at very low latitudes, 6.5 can cross south of the Canadian Border (sometimes a ways south), below 6 and it's usually a high latitude phenom.

Planetary K Index ?  Huh ? You work for fucking NASA ?Why you have to confuse us with color charts that show no actual time, just Universal Time -  and as everybody knows UT only makes sense if you've gone thru a wormhole.
