Too bad there is no viable GOP challenger.   Ever incumbent president in recent memory who faced a strong challenger in the primary ended up losing the general - Ford (Ronald Reagan), Carter (Ted Kennedy), Bush I (Pat Buchanan).  Don't know if the challenger damaged the incumbent going into the general or the incumbent was just so weak to begin with, they invited a challenge from within the party.

Anyway, its still surprising to see how vocal the "never Trump" wing of the party was back in the primaries in 2016 and how they are all now too chicken shit to call him out, let alone actually challenge him in the primary.
